I think this is the best HP printer I have ever owned
5/5

While it had been poorly packaged (bought used from a private party via Amazon), this tough, durable printer worked fine. Using the loose cartridges allowed me to refill and reuse them as well. The two older 5610s have been used with plain and mostly good inkjet paper for months. Now, a third 5610 is on the way. One of the many strengths of this printer is not only the high quality of its text and graphics (on gloss, mat, Tpy film, whatever), but that it is incredibly reliable and gives you minimal backtalk when you refill the ink cartridges (as soon as they run out). All the holes (color and black) are filled with bulk purchased ink of the Stratitec brand. I let it do its alignment (if the printer wants to), then choose the paper type and run it with the "Print in grayscale / High quality" setting. The images are printed and circulated in artwork folios (using HP Premium Mat Presentation paper or Epson's contrastier paper). There are no problems with the fax (at least until we resigned our regular phone line), scanner, copier, or sheet feeder. If you want to keep #10 and 6x9 (claspless white) envelopes from jamming, you may have to run your thumbnail over their edges.

At a very reasonable price, this is a great printer
5/5

In the course of examining the features and benefits of various brand and model printers, we came up with the following recommendations In the end, I decided to go with the HP Office Jet 5610 All-in-One The one I bought was such a great purchase! In order to unpack, install the paper, and ink cartridges, I followed the quick guide. The only instruction I did not follow was one in the guide, and I had no trouble installing the "all-in-one" It took me some time to get the software to work the first time. I didn't plug in the printer power cord OR the USB cable until the software started working Plugging my USB cable into the screen also instructed me to do so. I have owned several HP products and their software can sometimes be tricky to download particularly after reading several reviews saying how difficult it can be to download. I therefore waited until the software instructions told me to plug in the USB cable before powering up the printer. This page contains instructions for how to set up the All-in-One device Those that I have read so far are thorough, well-written, and relatively All three of the printer, copier, and fax features worked flawlessly after a few minutes of setting them up. Overall, this is a great item at a very reasonable price. The only negative comments are as follows Compared to older models, the paper trays and their support seem small and chintzy. (1) As the printer is revving up to print, it sounds much louder than my older HP printer. However, these two negatives have nothing to do with the quality of the product or the productivity, so I thought I'd mention them just to be clear. This printer is very reliable, I have had no problems with printing (paper jams, etc. ) or copying, and I would definitely recommend it. I would also like to add the following The HP 5610 is compatible with Windows Vista and a separate CD is included for Windows Vista users for the software installation of the HP 5610. I am running Windows XP (and have used the XP installation CD included) but the HP 5610 can also be used with Windows Vista.

This printer supports HP's Officejet 5610 series There is one
4/5

My name is Debra and I am looking at the HP Officejet In order to use this MFD online with both my fiance's Mac and my Vista computer, I bought this printer. A D- is my grading scale A version of the Link Wireless print server DP-100 is available Three elevens. My HP Officejet 5610 printer driver is installed using the HPIJS version 2 via open source using the HP IJS driver for the HP Officejet 5610. You can download open source printer drivers by searching Google for them. Having installed the Printer Driver on the Mac enabled me to install this printer, even though I did not have the printer plugged in locally (HP's install CD for the Mac requires you to have the printer plugged in locally to install the software, and it cannot be configured. )
After all the hard work to get that all to work, the Mac now prints wirelessly via the network printer server. As of yet, I have not been able to get the scanner to function. am not going to use the device to send faxes. With regards to the Vista computer, I ran into a few problems. I have plugged in the printer to the print server and installed the drivers. But once I had the driver installed, the printer only printed half of a page, and then all printing stopped. There was no explanation for my inability to understand. I finally figured out what was wrong after literally hours of messing with it. sends the job too quickly for the printer to pick up and only gets half of the print done, and then it has to wait for the rest of the job to be completed because it was sent We tried reinstalling the printer driver and fiddling with the spooler, but it did not work. In order for the PC to print successfully to the HP Officejet 5610 via the USB cable, it was necessary to install the drivers for It was the LPR instead of RAW option that I selected to checkmark "LPR BYTE COUNTING ENABLED" during the installation of my Link Wireless Print Server. Basically what this does is to slow the printing process down, so after printing the job it takes a bit longer for the printer to reply, but it does indeed respond on the entire page not just the first page But when the job started, the printer printed just as fast as it would by any other method. Therefore, both the Mac and PC have been able to print successfully to the HP Officejet 5610 via the D-Link. This printer server is linked to a wireless network. If you run into the same problem, I hope you find something in this review helpful. for the quality of the printer - it does seem to be decent The printer works just fine, prints fine, and does not cause any issues. There are some small details on the print along the edge but they are not too noticeable. The printer earns a 4 out of 5 star review from me.
