Questions & Answers

For canavas printing, does the printer accept Canavas paper?

I am not sure, this media type is not listed

Would this work for printing photos, such as family portraits, for example?

Printing, which is actually plotting, is at the entry level. The program works well for drawings and plans of all sizes. The strength of the site is not the quality of the pictures.

When you buy the rolls of paper, what type of paper do you use? How big is the core? Is it 2" or 3"?

There is a 2" limit for the spindle

How does it work? Does it come with a ?

No, it does not come with a stand. We have ours mounted on a filing

There was poor customer service
3/5

The roll paper for 24x36 worked well, but the staking tray was broken. It seemed that the letter size 8x11 and the tabloid size 11x17 always printed to the more wide sides (11" on letters and 17" on tabloids), regardless of whether I tried I hate it when that happens! In addition, when I loaded the roll of paper back, the 24x36 got screwed too and started printing to the 36" side, leaving me no choice but to throw away the roll of paper. My printer is still not working after I've taken it out of the plug to reset it as the manual (which is by the way, terrible) suggests. It was finally a case of deleting the printer from my computer and re-adding it. The rolling process worked again for the 24x36, but I was not brave enough to try the staking tray for letter and tabloid again. The worst part is that no one seemed to be able to help me, except HP's online help, and it was awful! Imagine you bought a new printer but weren't able to get it to work right and you were unable to reach a real person for assistance. There's no way out! What level of frustration is it causing you? Consequently, I am now where I need to be!.

It can be challenging to work with a Mac
4/5

After spending 3 days trying to get my Mac laptop to interface correctly with my T130, I finally got it to work. However, it had no effect. The best that can be done is to default to the multi-selection The 24" roll is what I used when I wanted to print a poster off the sheet tray. On HP's website, I found that the T130 drivers are the same for both the Windows and the Mac versions. Due to its Windows compatibility, the Mac is unable to open the driver. It is relatively simple to add the T130 to a Mac using the standard procedure of connecting with a USB cord and selecting it from the list. It loaded fine but was a "raster driver" that was required for a Mac to work at all. It's finally here. The very next day, I called HP support and was able to get through to a fellow who took me step by step so that the Mac and the T130 could communicate Web searches for this type of information come up with little to no results. I did not find the correct procedure on HP's website or in a posting by someone who knew about the correct procedure. Using the T120 raster driver is the only solution for the T130. It is actually a Windows version of the T130 driver. Adding the T130 to the System Preferences will let you do that. Open the Printers and Scanners window. By clicking on "+", you have added the T130 to your list. You can print when you go to the print menu. Use the "Select" button to look for the T120 raster software. It is not recommended that you use the T130 driver, which is Windows-only. I wish you the best of As a result of this review, Mac pilots should better prepare to pilot If you are able to interface it, it's a superb machine!.

It is now possible to modernize printing
5/5

I ordered this to replace an older DesignJet printer, and everything I expected has been met. Print quality is excellent, wireless access is available, roll feeds, cutters, and all these features are available. Most inkjet printers on the market charge a lot for ink, but that is only true for a certain percentage.

Having 24 x 36 blueprints was a very satisfying experience for the client
5/5

We noticed a number of things about the printer, starting with its quality. Setup is simple, and loading of the 24" x 150' roll is also simple. A few test blueprints we printed for the client were well received by him.

Overall, this is a good year The value of the time and money spent is excellent
5/5

The ink may be harder to find, though it is more expensive. Ink from HP is not available in our area, and it costs around $150 for all of them. A set of aftermarket parts costs $30 Ink has not yet been delivered, but that which has been included has been used up. It's a crime how much ink is marked up A bottle of ink can cost almost as much as a bottle of water! The results of the printouts weren't "good" long story short - after searching for troubleshooting and following through on some head cleanings - the problem was resolved. We had a problem with the online help A quick check on the print quality revealed it to be "quick" rather than The print quality went up after I changed the bar, so the print is slower (fine) but much better, so I'm happy It was a lot cheaper to buy a printer rather than to use Staples for my house plans.

A pain in the rear to print quality large format
3/5

Providing you have the proper set up, printing will be of excellent There is a lot of work involved in setting up this machine. My first experience with loading the drivers (only from the internet, no CD) was extremely challenging, and it took several hours of trial and error to figure out what to do. The driver would not load on my Windows XP computer (no matter what they say, 32 bit drivers do not work). I had to use a Windows 10 laptop because it would not load on my Windows XP computer. There is another problem with the printer in that it is overly smart. All in all, the only reason I keep this printer is for its ability to print high quality large format prints from rolls of paper up to 2 feet wide. With a driver readily available on a CD and the ability to print on 13x19 paper, I have an HP 7610 that prints phenomenal pictures with all the controls available to me from my computer, and with a driver that is easy to install on my computer.

Printing is good on this printer
3/5

It's a horrible piece of software. Compared to other printers, this one prints very well. The issue does not concern me at all. HP software, on the other hand, should not exist at all. My experience with the software that comes with this printer has been the most disappointing. Even though I spent nearly 800 dollars on this machine, I cannot use it to do what I want to. Getting the right size of a printer is important when you are investing this much money. The software cannot do that. A picture can be created in an art program and then the size of the image can be set to the paper size I plan to print it There is no way to do it. There is never a good fit for the image on the paper. It is impossible for me to center It has been impossible to get my 13x19 inch image to print onto paper of that exact size when I have tried simple tasks like that. I feel like I'd have to cut off a lot of it since it's too large. My image gets too small if I use the "fit to" feature, and also has a lot of white space on the top, and one of the sides. When I contacted support, they just sent me a link to drivers I already have. I AM NOT SURPRISED.
