An update for the month of May Even so, I still love the printer, even though it goes to sleep when it's been idle. The system will wake up even when you manually switch it on. Turning it off and back on is the only way to fix it. I've even tried to download the latest drivers from the web site, but nothing worked. I don't have the patience to identify the magic steps to solving this problem. I think it might be something to do with off / on workaround, but it works for me. Please note
Unboxed it, put the inks in, did setup, connected to Wi-Fi, upgraded the firmware, added to a MacBook Pro (Mojave). I printed 11x17" from Word without issue (auto-double-sided), without installing any drivers. Using the built-in system scan utility, I was also able to scan 11x17" a nice option. I also tried printing 11x17" using Affinity Designer the full-sized print was also nice. I noticed a few fine streaks, but it was in good color. Though I haven't done any alignments, I hope to do so soon. Although I haven't tried anything photo-related, this is definitely a good choice for regular printing A quality product. In addition to this printer, I added my HP printer to Windows 10 and was able to print from Word It is possible to print 11x17" double-sided without any problems, and drivers are not required. A fax utility built into Windows that can scan large 11x17" files seems to work perfectly fine. As for size, it is on the larger side due to printing and scanning in 11x17" format. As of now, everything appears to be going smoothly.

The seller has said there is no return since the device hasn't worked. I have never been able to use this printer. The seller offered me one year of ink with it, but when it didn't work and troubleshooting instructions said to get new ink, and he refused to let me return it, I had to spend Let me let you in on a secret! This did not work as well as before. There is a huge, erect stool on my floor now that I no longer find attractive. My goal is to get a refund, and if it doesn't work, you can look forward to my YouTube video with the name of the seller and a re-fund request. Here's an update! The printer has been in my possession for a year now and it is a real pain. Almost every week I have to clean the print heads. This has been happening for several months now. There are always at least 3 times I have to run the cleaning before it prints well. For those who want to print high quality color pictures or high resolution pictures, this printer is not for them. In the past few months I have been doing a lot more color printing and this is so low quality I will need.

With this printer, I replaced an Epson Workforce multifunction printer with tabloid dimensions, too (11 inches by 17 inches). It was never able to scan both sides of a sheet using the automatic feeder, but Epson could scan a sheet from both sides of the printer. There is no way to do this. It has been reported by many reviewers that this printer is difficult to connect to and stay connected to am trying to connect to a wired network with a switch about 5 feet from the printer, and I am having difficulty. My printer is connected to a switch that has two computers connected to it. Upon installing the Brother software on one computer, which has Windows 10 Home, the printer was instantly found. No matter what I did, the software was not able to find the printer on the second computer featuring Windows 10 Pro. Although I could ping the printer and a network scanner found it, I could not find it in the software. It did not work if I entered the IP address manually, disabled my firewall, and turned off my virus protection. I spent half an hour chatting online with Brother's technical support representatives without any significant results The woman said that I should contact the company that makes my computer. For myself (I build it. Nevertheless, I would have liked to have known. As she told me, I could reset the printer's network card on the LCD panel, and it worked until I rebooted it, and the printer no longer worked. In the end, I connected the printer via USB cable, and this solved the problem. However, I am inclined to believe the network card or the software may be at fault. The following complaints were also received Specifically (1) it is not obvious that you must depress a lever at the bottom of the manual feed to insert paper. (3) If you do not make the software set for Vivid and High Quality print, your graphics will look washed-out There you go. The printer would be more than adequate in an IT setting at work, thus its title. After purchasing this printer and setting it up, I realized this printer would be more than adequate in an office setting. Business Smart Pro Series is what it really is called, however I did not notice that when I bought The features, brand, and price of this printer won me over. It has all of the features of a corporate office machine. I work from home, and I believe that a regular home office user could do without some of these features. As such, I find it a great deal to have all the features, but at this price, it's definitely a steal. It's impossible to believe how fast the prints are. As well as the two-sided printing, I find it to be very convenient. There is no better way to stay connected than by having access to WiFi on all your phones and laptops. My age has caught up with me Faxing is still my favorite way to communicate. This is great to me. As a set It took no time at all to get up. Even with the DVD, I had to use it. While there is a way to do it through the online downloads, I tried it twice and couldn't figure out how. It is awesome to use a touch screen. Another of my favorite features is the INKvestment Tank, which makes it easy to buy ink in bulk. The person who never buys ink hates it and if this thing works the way it promises, I won't be buying ink so It was still fun printing school material for the kids. This is a big printer, so it's a caveat to take into account. It's substantially larger than my previous model and probably twice the size of your average home computer. The Amazon images illustrate this truth. Take a look and you'll get a sense of size. For me, this is not an issue at all - it fits in the classroom nicely. As someone who has a home office, I can say that you have to think carefully about the size to make sure it's feasible. If you're considering putting it in the kitchen, make sure the area is big enough. My best experience with printers has been with Brother. I've owned quite a few printers. As of now, this one is going along the same way. As long as your tolerance for the measurements is acceptable, it's a strong recommendation.

Having been an HP printer user for years, I switched to Brother after a relative recommended it to me. I am extremely unhappy with the product. It has difficulty using the control panel, results in way too many paper jams, and lately print lines are missing after only weeks of infrequent use. This is a defect I have not been able to solve. I am planning to donate this junk to the person who recommended it and to at least get a new notebook.
