YES, it certainly does. I'm still using the now-defunct Brother J835 and have been using non-replaceable ink cartridges. Original equipment manufacturer (OEM) ink has been used since the beginning. Yes, every now and then you get a? During the installation of the non-standard Who cares if it's an OEM ink cartridge! I keep mine on "almost" all of the time. If we're going away for a week or more, I turn off everything. However, I never turn it off on a daily basis, and it works perfectly.

AND YOU ARE NOT GIVEN ONE. It is necessary to state this.
99 and came here to buy ink because it was less expensive. In terms of printers, Brother is a good company. For the past 20 years, I've had a Brother printer. This is the fourth one I've done. Each of them lasted more than five years. My wife is a writer, so she needs to print out her work for editing, so I do a lot of printing for her. We used to replace printers every six months or so before Brother came along. I hope this information is useful; if you're looking for a nice printer at a reasonable price, this is a good option.
The printer is adequate for the price, though the print quality is not as high as that of other, more expensive printers. I've seen a lot of high-end ink jet printers. But it's fine for $65. br>br>What's odd about this printer is that every now and then (roughly every other day), it will start up as if it's about to print, making all kinds of noises as if it's printing and feeding paper. I suppose it's a head cleaning, which is good if it extends the life. Other printers, on the other hand, have never done this to me. The problem is that when it starts up unexpectedly, I almost jump out of my skin. It's startling and startling.
The severity of the situation astounds me. This printer is absolutely awful. br>br>Before buying this printer, I read reviews on the Staples website and then searched for "best all-in-one printer. " 2020" says one printer. This printer kept coming up as one of the best buys, and I'm kicking myself for not reading more reviews on Amazon because it appears I'm not the only one who has had a bad experience with it. br>br>• does not stay connected to wifi — I have to type in my wifi password every 30 minutesbr>• slowest printer ever — shockingly slow, like really really slowbr>• really poor quality printing — even with new ink cartridgesbr>• scanner just okay — really inconsistent quality and slowbr>• duplex printing does not work — not a big deal, but it's supposed tobr> Because of the quarantine, I was unable to take it to the post office to have it boxed and shipped. br>br>I'm giving this printer two stars instead of one because it has printed successfully a handful of times (though each time I had to a) re-insert the cartridge. Even though it said it was connected to my wifi, I had to a) enter my wifi password, b) wait an eternity for it to print, and c) put up with the truly abysmal print quality.
The thing never connects, and I'm not willing to re-invent the wheel. To get the POS up and running, you should study computer science. I got rid of it and replaced it with an Epson printer.
I gave three stars because I have previously owned two other Brother printers that worked flawlessly, but this model would not stay connected to my printer for some reason. When I contacted tech support, they informed me that the modem I was using did not work well with this printer, and that they were having similar issues with other modem brands. As a result, I had to return it!.
I follow the printer's maintenance instructions, but the white lines persist and the print quality is poor. I assumed it was because I was using non-name brand ink, so I went out and purchased Brother ink, but the problem persisted. Their tech support is a waste of time, and the letter tray was partially broken, so I had to send the printer back to Amazon in its entirety.
This is by far the best printer I've ever had in my house. Setting it up was a breeze. My laptop, iPad, and Fire tablet all print without a hitch. The print quality is excellent, and the paper feed has never been an issue for me.
