The scale pleased me at first. However, as I've used it more, my weight has begun to fluctuate. It makes it more difficult for me to weigh and ship my packages. I'll need to weigh them three times and average the results. It can take up to five or six attempts to feel at ease. The reading weight, for example, varies by a factor of 0. 2 to 0. 3 ounces. When I get a 6, it makes a world of difference. It starts with an 8 oz product and then drops to a 7 oz product. The numbering starts at 1 and ends at 6. 9 oz. I always round up so the post office doesn't notice, but if the product reads 7, I'll round it down. 1 oz, then I round up to 8 oz, even though it may only be 6 oz. I should've gone with 7 oz. instead of 8. This scale makes me feel a little let down. This scale has made my life a lot easier. I was selling a lot of stuff on eBay, and the kitchen scale I was using was simply not up to the task when I had something large or heavy to weigh. I haven't used this scale on battery power because I keep it plugged in all the time. I wish it would turn off automatically when it's not in use, but I suppose I'll just have to remember to do so when I'm finished. Since it measures such a large weight, it's been useful for other purposes, and the hold function was a major selling point for me. One thing to keep in mind is to press the hold button before placing the item on the scale and waiting for the scale to beep before removing it. The weight will be displayed in its current state. I was reaching beneath the item and pressing hold at first, but after I removed the item, it zeroed out. I thought it was broken, but it was simply a matter of following the instructions! After the scale beeps, you can add or remove items from the scale, and it will recalculate the new weight if you wait for the beep each time.

Returning and receiving a replacement took three to four days and was relatively painless, as with everything else with Amazon. br>br>It feels like a good scale, has a bright display, can weigh up to 90 pounds, and is made by a reputable company that sells scales to businesses and, I believe, the US Postal Service. It has a small form factor. If the reader is not visible, you can hold the measurement. I prefer the convenience of having the display built into the unit as someone who primarily needs to weigh for shipping products I've sold and occasionally for personal use. br>br>And to top it off, it's factory calibrated to a tolerance of 0. Despite the fact that it is only 1 oz, it has a capacity of 90 lb. Most units under $30 are accurate to within a tenth of a tenth of a 2 and do not appear to be as attractive or compact. br>br>In terms of value per dollar, this scale appears to be difficult to beat. Even life expectancy isn't an issue. The warranty is for ten years.

This is an excellent scale that is also stylish; I wasn't sure if it was an official Weighmax scale at first because it wasn't listed on their website, so I contacted them. They assured me that it was made by them, but it was the most recent model, which had not been updated on their website, so I ordered it from Amazon. I can confirm that this scale is accurate after checking 30 packages against it at the post office. It includes all of the features that previous versions lacked, and I strongly advise you to use it.

This scale appeals to me immensely. When shipping books, clothes, and other items sold online, it's very simple to use, and I especially like the hold function, which allows me to weigh an item, remove it from the scale, and still see the final weight. This size has simplified online sales and shipping processes. I don't have to go to the post office to weigh packages before shipping them. I can do everything from the comfort of my own home, with the exception of printing the postage stamps.

When you press the tare button, the weight of that item is removed, and only the item on top of the cushion or underneath the item is measured! br>I've been using it in the kitchen to measure out ingredients for recipes and it works great. It's also useful if you need to ship something because most items that need to be shipped aren't over 100 pounds anyway. br>br>I highly recommend this scale because it's truly an amazing buy!.
