Oil will be much less expensive than any sheets you can purchase. Although the sheets are primarily intended for convenience, they are also advertised as sharpening sheets. I'm not sure how I'd verify that, but if it doesn't hurt (and no one claims it does), it could be a viable alternative to oil. These sheets eliminate the need for oil.
Oil has been impregnated into the sheets, so it is no longer necessary to use it. Furthermore, the sheets maintain the sharpness of the blades. I'm never going back to using oil-based products again. This product is highly recommended!
My blades are not dulled by it. It's a positive thing. I suppose if it was dulling the blades, I'd notice it as an active maintenance product.
The package contains 12 sheets. Each sheet is shredded after use, so you can use it up to 12 times before needing to purchase another package.

Investment. EVER. How did I go so long without realizing the importance of shredder sharpening and lubrication sheets? I wouldn't have had to buy the last two shredding machines if I hadn't needed them! My own appeared to be nearing the end of its life - bogging down half-way through I'd gotten halfway through a single sheet and was looking for a new shredder when this product came up in my search. br>br>"Well, what the hell," I reasoned. This is the first time I've used this product, and it completely destroyed my shredder. When I reversed the shredder according to the instructions, it jammed and is now stuck in reverse mode. I've had no problems using and oiling my shredder for years, but after using this sheet, I'll have to buy a new shredder!.
I'd never heard of lubricating sheets before, so I figured I'd give them a shot before investing in something else. Oh, my goodness! "It's alive!" exclaimed Dr. Frankenstein famously. My old shredder now functions as it was intended to. I'm not sure how much longer it has, but this product has extended it and exceeded my expectations in every way. I STRONGLY advise you to do so!.
This is, without a doubt, the most practical method of maintaining your paper shredder. Simply take one from the package and feed the sealed cleaning sheet straight through the shredder. My only issue is that I have to use multiple due to the fact that it isn't as wide as I had hoped. I'm assuming it's letter size, but the actual lubricating sheet with fluid is only about 7 inches long, and my shredder has a 10-inch opening.
br>br>Because I didn't want to deal with oil, I went with the lubricant-impregnated paper. I did some research on Amazon and decided to give these a shot. They appear to be very effective - There isn't much of a commotion or a mess to be had - Simply put them in, run them through, and then reverse for about 10 seconds. The price appeared to be reasonable, and the product arrived in brand-new condition. br>br>I intend to use them on a monthly basis at the very least - I'll update this review if any issues arise. br>br>I would give this product a 9 out of 10. 0 to 9. This shredder accepts and shreds almost anything and continues to operate. It may be necessary to reverse the machine and back out the items that have been inserted before proceeding forward to complete the shred. It does, however, complete the task. A narrow vertical window allows the level of shredded materials to be seen without having to lift the top to see inside; the shredded contents must be shifted on occasion. To make room, everything was evened out.
It completed the task that it was supposed to. Now my shredder is much more efficient. When compared to using a bottle of oil, the sheets are much more neat.
