I'm not sure why or how you'd want to use wireless. It's a weighing scale, to be precise. Yes, it can be plugged in or run on batteries. In any case, it works. I'd suggest it!

I gave it four stars because it did not include the adapter, soft ruler, or batteries that were advertised. I'm really upset because I paid $28 for this. I bought it specifically for the adapter in the hopes of saving space, but it didn't work out. Scale that is very useful

It works well and accurately, as evidenced by a set of calibration weights that were always within a gram. A sturdy shelf on which to place rectangular packages, as well as a convenient flip-up shelf. Large envelopes can be leaned on with the arm raised. The ability to carry a lot of weight is extremely advantageous. Minor quibbles: br>br> 1) When reading a large package horizontally, across the bottom of the package, the LCD display is unreadable. Because the display is persistent, it is easily corrected by lifting the package and reading it. 2) The scale does not turn off automatically when plugged in to save battery life, which seems wasteful and likely reduces the electronics' life span. It's also simple to manage if you remember to turn it off when you're done with it.

For the money, this is a fantastic scale

This scale is very simple to operate. In the kitchen, we use it all day to keep track of portions. The ability to switch between grams and ounces is extremely useful. We keep track of our nutrition using My Fitness Pal, and it's sometimes easier to use one unit of measurement over another for a given entry. The disadvantage was that it quickly depleted the batteries that came with it. I replaced them with a set of name-brand batteries in the hopes that they would last longer. If you don't mind the scale remaining in one location, it comes with a power supply as an alternative. In addition, it is very simple to clean. This purchase was a good buy.
