Questions & Answers

What can I do to prevent it from wasting 1 inch of tape when I print out a 1 1/2 inch label every time?

When the program is opened, it will appear as You can type an address in by clicking on the down arrow to the right of the "P-" in the exe file The Editor Lite option will appear on the top bar. Select the File menu and then click OK The tape setting is as follows To make it small, click the "Small" button. Your label will not have any extra blank tape positioned on the right and left margins if you follow that procedure.

What system are you using for Mac if you are using this product? If so, what is your operating system?

I use Yosimite OS 10 as my OS. I am a Mac user. This Brother PT-202 has been my companion for the past few years While using OS 10, you can print labels to the P700 label printer. It is very smooth and I've had no problems with it up to and including version 8. It is a great little printer and has no negative feedback. I hope you find this useful!

Do you have the ability to print labels in additional languages, such as ?

A thermal dot is nothing more than a specialized thermal imaging device There isn't much this printer can't print because it prints to label tape, so it can do almost anything you can do with a Windows program. Having used it for Chinese, Japanese, Greek, Cyrillic, Hindi and Hebrew text, I recommend it to anyone. All of those will clearly be supported by TrueType or any other Windows font if it works for all three. Windows printer drivers work all the same way (I haven't tried a Mac, but if you can find a Mac driver that works, you should achieve similar results.

A label can have a maximum of how many lines of text it can contain? There is a small portable computer in my bag That allow no more than three touches per time. The number I need is Thanks a lot?

The font size and tape width determine whether something will fit. Kindred Kel outlined this in her post. In the case of a 1" tape, for example, the text gets a 12 point size on 4 lines. This document uses Arial font at a size of 5 points for 8 lines. It was a challenge fitting the font (because of the small size, I used bold for four and regular for four). In the top and bottom of the tape width, there is a narrow section that is not considered a "safe" area and therefore cannot be printed on.

The tape isn't going to disappear from your hands in an effort to screw you out of it. You can view the tape cassette here. The 3-star rating is a good one The system is composed of three parts This thick label will be used for IPLs. It will consist of a black "print" material, laminate, and an adhesive sticker. It has a feed roller that binds them together and laminates them at the exit. We don't have a time when there are not laminated labels being prepared, otherwise we would end up with two stuck together. Starting from this piece, you have to cut the rest. It would have been possible to move the print "head" closer to the feed wheel, but small is not an option (without paying 35 bucks for a cassette) and such a move would only save another one-quarter inch A roll of 314 inches has 314 inches to it. So far, I have had about 300 labels that are just over one inch wide. Here is some rough math (very rough) Please note - Based on 10% of 300, there are 270 usable labels, which adds up to 3, at $9 each, on white 1/2" cassettes. The price per label is three cents. Please note - There is a 17% loss when the end of the strip is cut off. A 17 percent gain of 300 leaves 249 usable labels, which comes to 3 at $9 each. There is a charge of 6 cents per label. Please note - Using the cut off end with 1 label at a time leads to a 50% loss. If we divide 50% of 300 by 150, it leaves us with 6 labels, which at $9/cassette comes to $6. The cost of labels is 0 cents. You can't buy custom labels for that, even if it can get pretty wasteful. In my opinion, I have no idea how they will make money from this. $40 to $50 There will be a printer fee of 45 dollars, as well as a tax of $9 For a complex of three, the cost is $11 A laminate cassette is part of the part. Here is a cassette tape. This is a brilliant idea. You would be hard pressed to find anyone who can manufacture such a product for the same price, and it would still remove It doesn't seem like this piece is as expensive as some Legos. The thing that makes this printer so fast, reliable, and jam-free isn't the amount of tape that you pay for, it's the engineering that makes the thing print durable labels quickly and reliably. Having been exposed to commercial and industrial heat and laser labelers for years, I know how wasteful they can be. A feeding problem, a jam, an alignment issue, carbon tape hanging on- Fixing it is time consuming, and supplies are wasted if they are not stocked, bundled, or shipped. It is at least weekly, and sometimes daily, that the cost of this printer and tape is thrown away. However, I do hope this printer will last a long time, I am amazed at the quality of the labels. Likewise I wish they would have gotten rid of the battery pack area and made the unit smaller, but I guess some people might require it Brother, like the Chinese tool guys (Milwaukee, DeWalt), might offer an $80 battery add-on pack if they really wanted to screw you over.

Labels are printed using the LABEL command
4/5

There is no need to plan or think much about the design. So why is there not simply a piece of software that pops up, allows you to enter in the information, allows the machine to determine the type of label stock you have installed, automatically adjust the width and length, and allows you to just print without tedious menu selection and manual maneuvering? There is too much functionality, and the software looks (and feels) as if it had been ported over from Windows 98 There is software called Era. It's important to me that things are simple. My goal is to type and print a label in less than a minute. The last thing I want is to have to check and make sure everything is right I do not want to have to manually adjust the length of the label to what I type in, etc. I would like to be able to print labels by clicking on a mouse, then select tape. Somebody needs to create an app that asks what to print, then actually prints it. While the hardware is great, I have used it less than 5 times since it was bought two years ago due to the difficulty of using it.

You did well 2. It's cheap
. The ease of use really makes a difference. With battery power, mobility is possible. The print quality is better than I expected. * * *no mention of the resolution, or resolution quality. There is a compatibility issue, but the most pressing concern You will be unable to use those labels that were created using high-resolution In my case, the end model is Text in UTC/9800PCN. During my time as a PT-owner, I owned four of them Two of our 9800PCN printers have been working for about five years, and now neither of them will print. The version of P-9800PCN used by brother That is why I bought this model despite not having a touch editor software and only need one to print out the less important labels. It is wrong, this program is a A new low-cost cell phone model, the P700 The end model printer gives me problems. For some labels (especially those with tiny bar codes), I guarantee that it produces messed up layout, so in the end, the printer was not usable. *A brief summary If you need a simple label printer, or you want to print labels simply, then this is a good choice If you have already created labels with high end label printers, and then want to print them out with this printer, even if you lowered your expectation of printing quality, this printer may mess up the image and you will not be able to get the result indicated in the original design. In place of my dead PT950NW I am using the P950NW Text in UTC/9800PCN.

I love this! You will love it if you are a fan of organization
5/5

My iPhone has been with me for over a year now, and I absolutely The labeler is used for everything in my home that needs to be labeled. Using this device on its own is not possible, you will need a computer to use it, just as you would with This feature allows you to use any font installed on your computer as long as it is installed there. Additionally, it is extremely useful to be able to save the file on your computer so it can be used for similar or identical stuff in the future. As a result, this printer does not fit in my desk very thin, nor is it bulky whatsoever. I have it suited right next to my desktop printer (see I'm using it on my MacBook Pro Late 2013 and have no problems. My copy of the program was downloaded You can use the touch editor application from the brother website to make If you prefer a clean and stylish look for your organizing, then this is the perfect product for you. (I am using a black print on clear tape in the image.

If I had the chance I would rate this 10 out of 10
5/5

Over the past few weeks, I have printed hundreds of QRCode labels for tracking equipment using this printer. One of the best aspects is that the computerized printer is capable of printing every major barcode format. The QRCode allows you to put anything you want (within reason) inside it, print it out, and stick it on anything you want. The only way I thought I'd be able to duplicate this was to buy some expensive QRcode software and try to make it There's no limit to what it can do. I usually create about 15+ QRCodes on one piece of tape, print it, and then cut it apart with scissors. This is obviously wasteful because you waste an inch of leader tape every time you print something, but it's still great. Now that BarCodes are on everything, equipment tracking and inventory can be done in a few hours rather than.
