Selected User Reviews For Brother P-touch Label Maker, Personal Handheld Labeler, PT70BM, Prints 1 Font in 6 Sizes & 9 Type Styles, Two-Line Printing, Silver
The labeler works well but it costs less than 20 bucks for a good In addition to the replacement labels, which are almost $8 each, Brother makes money on the price of the labels. No adjustment can be made to these margins by the printer if they are too wide. Each label you print will have a different code The money is going down the drain because you are not printing anything. The company has received complaints about this online and on their website and most say lead tape is essential for the beginning of the label but having no option to cut the tape narrower at the end is not an option. It might have been possible in older models to implement this, but the PT-300 does not have this option Those qualities no longer exist in the 70. In the length and length options, only one is available. Although 2" is the narrowest you can choose, there will still be white space after the label on this setting. As I had printed out several different Key labels to get my stuff organized, cutting all the excess waste seemed so inefficient. I have used double spacing between each label to reduce my cuts waste and cut the margins on each side of the labels instead of using the wide margins on each side. I can't help but suspect that this is just a setup to make Besides that, the labeler is fine, just that I wish it would not waste so much tape.
After a day or so, the label maker arrived. There seems to be no problem with it. I have only used a few words so far. The fact that this runs on batteries rather than a plug is great.
If you are a casual user, this label maker will be a disappointment. In years past, I had an older Brother Labeler that was very reliable. It was a surprise to see that during the initial setup procedure I had no choice but to set the date and time that's an AHA for me! Here we are! It is this that is causing the battery to run out, as the unit must maintain it even when it is turned I went to Brother Chat and after quite a long session got the impression that it's impossible to turn off the date and time, even if you never use it. I suspect the majority of users wouldn't need it. Thus, in order to print the occasional single label, I have to re-set the printer Additionally, according to Brother, batteries should not be left in for more than 24 hours Furthermore, I would have to re-insert batteries at the end of the use period. The whole thing is a sham! As an example of how techies do not understand much of the real world and create a feature for the sake of it, this date/time thing is a mess. I have a question about the survey Among fellow label printer users, how many of you have ever thought, "Oh, I should really print the date and time on my labels?"? As soon as we get a break from the rain, I'm going back to Kohl's for a refund! I expect you get the point by now, but let me just add a few more things This machine must be used with care.
Labels are made by the little machine like all other P- machines The machines have the capability of touching. already have a few AAA rechargeable batteries, you're in luck. If not, your best bet is to get the Brother P-C Please touch the pad With the D210 label maker, you'll have no problem. Using generic tape is your best option. * Tape is your largest expense.
My first one was supposedly defective, and I think it was merely an outlier, but I now have the exact same issue with the second one A brand new battery does not work in this situation since it says the battery is low and shuts off during printing. correlation between the charge of the batteries and whether or not this thing works. It is okay to print 1 every once in a while I put 2 labels on, then it begins shutting It seems like the other models use different tapes, so there would be a waste of several tape cartridges I have. I was looking into purchasing a different model, but the other models use different tapes. Future purchases will probably be made with a different brand.
I love how easy it is to operate and how much I love how it meets my needs. This label backing remover worked great for me, even though I was skeptical. If you want to reduce the amount of wasted tape, consider printing out multiple labels on one line, separated by three dots.
This is my favorite thing in the kitchen. My family will argue with me, but I love it! The spice, cabinet, and meal planning areas are where I use it. * Spices A spice snob like me tries to be very picky with food. Penzey's, savory spices, or independent spice stores are where I prefer to buy my spices. The price of a jar is $6 if you order from Penzeys. Even though the price for a bag that costs triple as much is the same as the price for an inconvenient, ugly bag. To label the jars, I bought a bunch of jars from Penzeys and Hobby Lobby, poured my spices in the jars, and used my label maker to put them together. In this case, the labels never come off! When I look in my cabinet, everything is uniform and I can easily find what I need
CAbinets - Everything is neatly arranged in there and the colors are appealing. It is an excuse my teenage daughter and husband use to not put dishes away or refuse to cook because they could not find everything or did not know where anything was. When someone asks where something is (often it isn't) I respond by yelling where it is supposed to be (often Find it if it isn't where it goes. If it isn't where it is supposed to be, it isn't there. Prepare your food before you eat it In just a few minutes, I prepare approximately three meals in individual containers to grab for lunch or breakfast. At the end of the week, I notice a few lunches are still sitting in the fridge. It occurred to me to ask my husband why he wasn't taking his lunches and he replied he didn't know what was inside or that he didn't know if it was for something I may be cooking in the future (Excuses). Whenever I prepare containers, I print out exactly what is in each one so that spectators who want to grab and go can. Despite being expensive, tape lasts between two and four months, and spending $20 for a roll of tape every two months is way cheaper than eating out every night.
