At least three different model numbers in this category have received positive feedback on Amazon. The 1210 had one four-star rating and the rest were five-star ratings at the time of my research. I'm glad I purchased this model because it piqued my interest. br>br>The 1210MA Pro Grade Shredder is the subject of this review: br>br>In the last decade or so, every fifty dollar printer I've used has lasted an average of three years and barely did what it was advertised to do. I figured I'd spend twice as much and see what a difference this commercial shredder makes. It most certainly does. br>br>So far, the 1210 has left an indelible impression on me. This shredder is barely audible as it runs. It's very quiet here. It was on a fifty-minute nonstop run that I first used it. It did a fantastic job. It ate plastic cards, thick and thin paper, and the shredder didn't even get hot after I was done. I was loading it with stacks of at least eight to ten pieces of paper at a time, and the machine never slowed down. If the situation called for it, I'm sure the 1210 could handle at least twenty sheets at a time. It didn't matter if there were ten or one sheet. It shredded at the same rate for both of them. There was no sign of exhaustion. br>br>The wheels make it easy to move the unit around, and the pull-out tray is on two wheel tracks, allowing it to glide smoothly. Micro shredding is far more compact and secure than crosscut shredding. When the shredder indicates that it is full, simply remove the tray, shake it, and then pack the paper down. This will even out the paper pile and allow the bin to fill up even more. Then just keep shredding until you've exhausted all of your options. During my fifty-minute run, I repeated this process several times, but only filled one bin. br>br>I'll update if I come up with anything else. As of now, I am confident that this shredder will serve me well for many years to come. This purchase has made me extremely happy.

Shredder with four levels of security. This was purchased to replace a Royal cross that was on its last legs. model, which is a bit of a screamer after 14 years, he still has trouble bringing in items to shred; It was nice to upgrade to a higher security level with the promise of quieter operation. The AU1210MA is significantly quieter, earning it a 5 star rating. After 15 minutes, however, I became aware of something. minutes of shredding in a time frame of less than 40 minutes The minute session yielded a variety of odd strips that were longer than the P- There is only one level (as shown in the illustration). Other pieces appear to be a cutter blade that stopped tearing along the edges on its final rotation. I'm not sure if it's one side or both, but the photo shows what I was able to extract from the shred bag; I'm very disappointed with this brand. shredder. It feels like a waste of time after spending so much time deciding which one to buy and from whom. If this is the standard allowance for failure in terms of shredding consistency, the security level should be P-. Who has the time to make sure that everything that was supposed to be shredded is completely shredded at the end of each session? This machine only has one task to complete, and it is failing miserably. Be careful who you buy from. If you want a reliable machine, I don't recommend this. br> After contacting Amazon about the problem, they facilitated a call with an Aurora customer service representative to see if this was a known issue. The blame for shredding both unused and used envelopes was passed on to me by Aurora's representative. They believe that all adhesives will harm their product. This is how all shredders should work. When I mentioned that this had never happened with my Royal shredder, I was told that this was the reason why it had stopped working. That's something I'd like to hear them say to Jeff Bezos. br> Bottom line: Aurora's customer service and solution to fix the problem by sending it to them to repair is ridiculous; it should have worked correctly right out of the box and shouldn't have required a tune-up. after only a single day of use, it needed to be adjusted up! It's also in poor taste to blame the customer for the problem; I followed the user manual's instructions and removed all sticky adhesives from all sheets before shredding. There were no sticky or tacky adhesive labels in the feed. The superior low noise kept it above a 2* rating for Aurora's unprofessionalism in expecting a machine that doesn't perform as advertised because of "user error" rather than bad design. br> All of the Amazon representatives I've dealt with have gone above and beyond. Thank you all very much.

I'm glad I went ahead and purchased it! I put it through a rigorous workout and it continues to perform admirably. It has run continuously for up to two hours without overheating. Credit cards are shred as finely as paper in this machine. One review I read said it didn't work that way; I actually read on the top where it says to place the credit cards, and it chews them up into small chunks that you wouldn't be able to tell apart from the paper if it weren't for the color. I've completed eight races so far. I was able to print 12 sheets at a time without any issues. Due to a backlog of documents, I've only had to reverse them once. It was reset to its original state and worked flawlessly. There is a slight change in the motor's working noise when heavy loads are applied, but it is still much quieter than my old shredder. The most important thing to remember is to oil the blades when they are being used frequently. It's suggested, but I didn't follow the instructions at first. What I've discovered is that it significantly reduces paper dust and increases the shredder's life span.
