The teeny-tiny shredder with a big heart. That's the first thing that comes to mind when I think of it. I ordered it on Sunday, and it arrived on Tuesday with Prime. I took it out of the well-packaged box and put it to work right away. After six full bags, I was done. Yes, it did shut down a couple of times when I tried to overwork it and overheat it. Wouldn't you, if I asked, turn off as well? However, as others have stated, if you wait a few minutes for it to cool down, it will start right up again. NO WAY would I recommend it for use in a manufacturing environment! But after shedding six bags of household bills and such for over three hours of continuous shredding, I think it was a good buy. What do you think?.

I liked the price and the fact that it didn't come with a bucket, but with the help of an adjustable extension attached to the shredder, it fit on top of a bucket I already had at home. Why add to my clutter when I already have a basket and can save money by purchasing a shredder that does not require a basket? I sherded a few pages, but no more than four at a time; I usually do two at a time, and I've shredded credit cards as well. There is a CD button that I included in one of the pictures, as well as a small window to use for the CDs. Please comply with the following guidelines: Rather than opening instructions after things have gone wrong, I always read them before starting to use whatever I get. The shredded paper is a little wider than I'd like, but it's a trade-off I'm willing to make for the price, and it still shreds whatever you feed it well.

  You can't go wrong with this small portable shredder for the best bang for your buck. I needed a small shredder for a small file cabinet with a lot of old paperwork that needed to be shredded, and Amazon recommended this one. I read a lot of positive reviews and a few negative ones, but I've had this shredder for a few days and have been using it to its full potential. I easily shredded 80 documents, 12 envelopes, 10 cards, and other items. If you use it for more than 30 minutes in one setting, it will make you wait 15 minutes before you can resume shredding, but the light on the shredder will turn green, indicating that you can resume shredding. I adore this thing; all you need is a trash bin, and the right side handle can be extended to fit any garbage/recycle bin you have. The only drawback now is that toggling the button between auto, off, and reverse is a little strange. I had a hard time turning it off a couple of times, but all you have to do is make sure it clicks in either position you want it to. Overall, I'd give it a 9 out of 10 rating.

I'm pleased with the Aurora shredder's performance. I don't use the recommended maximum number of sheets. It is more effective with three people. 5 sheets. The thickness of some papers varies. It hasn't slowed down even after a lot of use! Fits a 54-quart Sterilite trash can perfectly.

When our parents died, we had a large amount of paperwork that needed to be shredded. The majority of it wasn't super-sensitive information, but it was personal enough to be shredded. br>I chose this shredder because it was inexpensive and because it is designed to fit over any wastebasket, making it more compact than the clunky and often heavy one-- shredders for bits and bobs br>I'm really happy with it! br>Here are a few things to keep in mind: This is a light-duty shredder with a CD and credit card slot that works well, but it can't handle very thick paper - It's only a few sheets at a time. If you shred for an extended period of time, it will overheat and shut off, just like most small shredders. Oiling the blades will help. Long strips make up the shred pattern. It doesn't pulverize it into tiny pieces like a lot of shredders do, but on the plus side, it feeds through fairly quickly; for the price, I can't complain, and I'd buy another one. I like how compact the unit is and how well it fits any trash can. It's easy to move around because of this, and it's definitely portable!.

Pluses: You can put it over almost any bin and it will turn on, even if you put it at an angle. I don't need any more bins taking up space in my house. I thought it was jamming once when I loaded it up a little more than usual, but it just kept grinding. br>Contrary to popular belief, the following is a list of disadvantages. Unlike any other shredder I've used, the shred isn't as narrow as other shredders I've used, and the papers really stuck together after going through it. I expected the papers to be more shredded or unidentifiable without having to stir them up afterwards; I don't have any "secret" information at home, but I shred for a reason. I would have returned if I had discovered another shredder that didn't have a bin underneath. For the time being, I'll continue to change things up in the middle. shred.

It does the job, but it's made cheaply. After less than two months, the slide-out arm that allows it to sit on top of a waste basket broke. The plastic arms are extremely thin, and if they break, it's impossible to use it as intended, effectively turning it into a 5lb piece of trash. Aurora, keep doing what you're doing.

I was looking for a shredder that could do what I needed it to do, which was shred mail containing my name and sensitive information. The mail was usually good if it wasn't too thick. I would have separated the paper into the mail to feed it through if the mail was made of card stock or something thick and hard. I had some old credit cards that I hadn't broken down yet, so I fed them through, and they were as tender as a steak. This unit has overheat protection, which causes it to stop working and illuminate a red light, prompting me to plug it in to allow it to cool down. Despite the fact that I did not order one with a basket, the remains were placed in the basket I already had, which has an adjustable rim.
