My warranty was supposed to be one year, but when mine jammed and I called, I was told I could only get a refund minus an $8 stocking charge. I needed to purchase a new shredder to replace it. What you get, I believe, is determined by whom you speak with.
It would be ideal for a small office; however, if you use thicker or folded sheets too frequently, the system will overheat, requiring you to wait 15 to 30 minutes. It will cool down in 20 minutes. Stick to one or two sheets at a time, and if you have a lot of paperwork, go up a size because the basket fills up quickly. In general, it's a nice little machine.
Someone suggested catching cuttings in a 4 gallon plastic trash bag. I squandered my cash on them. The Amazon Essentials 15-Pack is a great way to get started with Amazon. Crossed Sheets The cut paper, CD, credit card, and office shredder bin can hold much more than a 4 gallon bag. The bag simply tore when I tried to stretch it over the bin. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO USE A 4 GALLON BAG.

For those who are unaware, this 99-minute film featured some of the most unique roller blade shredding ever seen. Purchase this and you'll be shredding like Andy in no time!br>br>Update** My wife has been walking around the house being very confrontational since using the shredder. "Bruh, do you even shred!" she exclaims these days. " As a result, I'm going to take a star off. ".
It went above and beyond my expectations. PROS: First, I'd like to go over the high-level information. well-made and of high quality The paper shredder's built-in features. Based on other reviews, I believe the garbage can (bottom portion/container) is of good quality. It shipped to me in one piece with no problems. I tested it and it shreds 15 to 16 sheets of regular copy paper and probably 12 sheets of thicker resume paper. Personally, I use this to shred cardboard and compost it (with all the boxes I get from Amazon and/or for business, it's ideal for shredding cardboard). As you can see in the video and photo, the shredder has no trouble shredding even the thickest cardboard. "A hot knife through butter," to put it another way. In comparison to other shredders I've owned or currently own, I'd like to point out that this one is exceptionally quiet. People have complained about how loud it is in other reviews. It's clear that it won't be quiet. Even when compared to the Amazon basics 8 sheet shredder, it is only about half as quiet. If you don't need something as large as this, there's a link below. As the 12 sheet, you'll be in charge of everything. br>br>AmazonBasics 8-Volume Set br>br> Strip from a sheet My two problems with this shredder are that it can cut paper, CDs, and credit cards. Because of the shredder's built-in safety mechanism, the bottom canister (or garbage can) cannot be replaced. I understand it's for safety, but if it ever cracks or breaks, it'll be a pain. The opening, for one, is only about 8 inches wide. 75- 9 inches. If you load in a large amount of paper or cardboard that isn't square to the opening, it may jam. The reverse button on the shredder's top solves this problem quickly. I'd include a link to a similar shredder with a 12-inch opening. br>br>To summarize, I would purchase this product again or recommend it to a friend. br>br>Please let me know if this review was helpful by clicking the "Helpful" button below it.
This is a very nice machine; it's very basic, but it's built to last. The first job I gave this shredder was to shred a ten-inch stack of documents, as well as several closed documents, some of which were quite thick. I even enlisted the assistance of my children for the thicker ones, which I opened because I was afraid of jamming the machine, and the machine worked admirably, producing 9 full buckets of shredded paper. Many of the documents were stapled at the top corner, and the shredder chewed right through them with no problems; however, the machine became jammed with a set of 9 sheets, which surprised me because the maximum recommended is 12. I believe they jammed the machine because they were packed so tightly. br>THE GOOD STUFF: br>The machine's build has a heavy-duty feel to it. br>Basic features to get the job done - The not so great stuff: auto on with a sensor, reverse to remove jams, safety button that only allows the teeth to rotate when the top is fully attached to the bucket (great feature because the teeth are EXTREMELY sharp which is a good thingbr>Compact Size and discretebr>THE NOT SO GREAT STUFF: br>It produces a lot more dust than our previous unitbr>It's a little noisy, so if you're using it in an office, it's best to put it somewhere other than your deskbr>The shredded material is quite wide and long (approximately 14 inch by 1 and 14 inch). Though the motor unit is well built, the bucket is quite flimsy, and due to the safety mechanism, it will be difficult to retrofit it to another bucket without bypassing the safety click (which would be dangerous because the unit could turn on while upside down, which would be VERY VERY dangerous). br>THE BAD STUFFbr>THE BAD STUFFbr>THE BAD STUFFbr>THE BAD STUFFbr>THE BAD br>br>Overall, I would strongly suggest this simple shredder for use in a home office. This might be OK if there is a lot of demand and several people who are constantly using it, such as in a small office, but it would be on the edge. I used it for 30 minutes, stopping only to dump out the material, and it got a little wormy but only caused a minor jam. After a few months of infrequent, light use, there was no longer any power. I've already finished two. The first one appeared to be adequate, and I blame myself for overworking it at one point. However, I only used the second one a few times and was very selective about how many documents I entered at once. This one died unexpectedly after only a few months. It was not a power fluctuation because it was plugged into a surge protector and other items continued to work. It simply died one day, with no power or other signs of life. I'm irritated because the unit was clearly defective, but I'm past the return period.
This shredder does exactly what it says on the tin. In the video, you can see it shredding a stack of 15 pages of paper, a CD, and a credit card, all of which worked flawlessly. As you can see in the video, it produces small cross-shredded strips that make reassembling the original document more difficult, and it compresses stacks of documents into thick strips that take some effort to separate. br>br>I'd like to see paper bags or something to put in the wastebin so that I can send the shredded material to recycling instead of having to dump it into another bag later. br>br>At the moment, the device has an oily/burnt odor, but I believe it's factory lubricant. I expect it to go away, but I'll let you know if it doesn't. I'll also let you know if I run into any long-term problems.
