Questions & Answers

What are the weight-bearing platform's measurements? In other words, how big of a box can you fit on it without blocking the led panel?

The platform is 6 7/8" X 6" in size. It's about 8 1/8" from the back of the platform to the top of the display. Your box may slightly overhang the display due to the angled display face, but the weight can still be read. I'd say you can probably fit a fairly "well-known" person in there. It has to have a "balanced box" of at least 19" on it for the weight to be read. br>I hope this explanation is clear and useful. br>By the way, this is a fantastic scale, and if it meets your requirements, you will not be disappointed with your purchase.

What is the tiniest measurement unit? ie . 1 gram, whichever comes first. 01oz?

"Graduation:" says the box. When switching units, the unit weighs in individual grams (not portions). The smallest weight I can get it to register at the low end is 6 grams, or 0. 2 ounces (while these are nearly equivalent, I'm not using conversions to arrive at either of these figures; On the scale, these are the lowest numbers I can get to show). However, readings in this range should not be trusted due to their inconsistency. The scale's margin of error, in my opinion, should be no more than 3-percentage points. 10 grams.

Is there a way to display the weight in kilograms?

Yes, it is possible. The scale's front left side has a button that toggles between pounds and kilograms.

Is this a scale that measures in 1oz increments?

To the nearest tenth of a tenth of a tenth of From a pound to a quarter of a ton. Over 25 pounds to a maximum of 50 pounds, with a precision of. 2 ounces.

In a small package, you get good accuracy
4/5

The scale works flawlessly right out of the box. Its precision may irritate some, but for a postage scale, it's more than adequate. I like how you can switch between pounds and pounds and pounds and pounds and pounds and pounds and pounds and pounds and pounds and pounds and pounds and pounds and pounds and and oz. , grams, and a smidgeon of an ounce The side-mounted hold button is fantastic. If you're weighing a package that hangs over the display, simply press the hold button while the object is on the scale, and the display will 'hold' the resulting readout until you remove the package. This was extremely beneficial. br>There are two points to keep in mind: The scale is surprisingly compact and streamlined in design. (*For a sense of scale, look at the photo. ) ) I had been anticipating something much bigger. A rubberized finish is also present on the scale. It's a slightly cheesy, non-traditional look. coating that prevents slippage Personally, I don't think it's a good idea. That type of surface is difficult to keep clean and appears to attract and retain dust and lint. These surfaces are prone to deterioration and peeling as they get older. Although the verdict is still out, I think a hard plastic surface would be preferable. br>I'd happily give this scale five stars if it weren't for the rubberized finish-- 4 stars.

Everything is in order
5/5

Today, I received this fantastic little scale. It came with three AAA batteries and an AC cord, and as soon as I inserted the batteries, the scale turned on, so I don't have to keep plugging it in all the time. br>After that, I used two 50g skeins of yarn to see how accurate it is at weighing things. The scale read 50g for 1 skein and then 100g for 2 skeins, respectively, as you can see in my photos.

Small packages are fine, but before 30 days, double-check the cord
3/5

I could only use the cord if I played with it for a long time. When new things don't work, my first thought is usually, "I'm doing something wrong. " It was difficult to get readings. I despised the whole thing. After that, a friend who had seen me using it double-checked it. "This cord is bad; it's short," he said. That was 45 minutes after the purchase. Because the scale is so unusual, I couldn't find a cheap cord that fit. It exceeded the scale in price. If you buy it, check the cord several times before 30 days to make sure it works; if it does, it's perfect for small items. My estimation is spot on. br>Now it can weigh up to 50 pounds, which is absurd. It is unlikely to hold packages weighing more than 5 pounds. The weight will not be accurate if they hang over. When there are packages on it, it can be difficult to see the weight. You can use the side hold button only while the package is attached to it, not before. It'll suffice if you only need to store a few small items (and your cord works). I do, however, weigh packages ranging in size from medium to large. They are unable to use it. I don't want to have two scales because I don't have enough storage space. Buying one that accommodates larger sizes would have been a better choice, not to mention the inconvenience of having to wait until I could buy another cord. I was put off by the fact that I had to purchase a cord.

It's accurate and compact, but it's not completely practical
4/5

This is a simple scale that can handle up to 50 pounds of weight. It's a lot more sensitive than I expected, and the readings match up almost perfectly with the scale at my local post office. It's also acceptable to UPS. It's exactly what I need for weighing packages when I sell things online. Because the majority of the items I mail are small and light (under 20 lbs), I appreciate its compactness. The platform is too close to the readout, which is the only disadvantage: a mid- The weighing platform as well as the readout component will be covered by this package. I've solved this problem by stacking larger packages on top of a block of Styrofoam so I can see the readout underneath. Of course, this adds another step to the weighing process, so it loses a star for inconvenient. Aside from that, I'm quite pleased.

Although it appears to be attractive, it is completely inaccurate
3/5

The scale is straightforward and straightforward to operate. You're ready to go when you press the power button. It easily switches between units, and all of the other features are fully functional. However, this scale is extremely inaccurate and fails to perform its primary function. There will be a 5-point difference. 10% of the same item weighs the same item weighs the It will also fluctuate in weight as it sits on the scale for longer periods of time. br>br>I used four different scales to test the same 174oz item, and all three of my higher end scales read between 173 and 174. 5 lbs. , 174 oz. It was measured at 142 by the accuteck. I wouldn't trust this scale with anything at this point, and if you do, expect your shippers to adjust their prices. br>br>I'm going to try to re-calibrate it, but it says right on the box that it should be calibrated.

Hmmm
3/5

USPS would say the weight was incorrect after I weighed my packages and paid for labels, and I wouldn't recommend this scale if you have boxes.

This scale is ideal for weighing packages and puppies that are still in the whelping stage
5/5

I'm getting ready to set up my home office so I can start selling things on the internet, and I find it easier to judge sizes when I compare them to something I own or have seen. The scale's surface is the same size as a 9" Kindle Fire. The scale is simple to operate and comes with both batteries and an AC adapter. It's all done digitally. The numbers are legible and large. Our first packages to be weighed were puppies that were still in their mothers' wombs. To keep it clean, we placed some clean medical pads on top. It was a huge success. I have yet to receive any packages weighing more than 50 pounds. I hope you find this information useful.

The hold button is inconvenient, but the rest of the game is good
3/5

My other scale, the Royal DS5, allows you to press the hold button before placing the object on the scale; however, this one only works after the package has been weighed. The Royal scale, on the other hand, only goes up to 5 pounds, not the 50 pounds that this one does, which is why I needed a second scale. Pressing the hold button can be difficult if there is a large box or long flat item covering the front of the scale where the button is located, and in order to press it hard enough, you may have to hold the opposite side and accidentally press the pounds/grams button. Otherwise, it appears to be accurate in weight and of reasonable quality, though I've only had it for two weeks and will have to see how long it lasts.
