Thank you for your interest in our Rotring brand, but please note that this ink is only for use with our Isograph line of pens and is not suitable for use with other pens. Technical pens made by Isograph.
If you're wondering if alcohol dissolves (smears) this ink, the answer is no. I have no problems using the Isograph pens (with this ink) for my marker drawings. It also serves as a liner for my watercolors, as it does not smear.
Only the rOtring Isograph pens have refillable ink reservoirs, making them ideal for drawers that use bottle inks. The rOtring Rapidograph pens are only compatible with the rOtring capillary cartridges.

Hey! Anyone planning on using this ink in their Rapidograph/Isograph pens should be aware of this. br>br>DO NOTbr>br>The ink dries unusually quickly inside the pens, and it ruined a brand new $40 pen! I even inquired with rOtring about the ink's suitability for use in their Isograph pens. If you're going to fill a Technical Pen with these inks, stick with the Black and probably the Colored ones.
0 nibs! Because the ink won't flow at first, I have to shake it EVERY TIME, and even then, it's patchy. I've gotten it to write fairly smoothly, but only if I take it very slowly. It isn't the pens, I believe. I'm in possession of the zero. 10, 0. 13 and a 0 There are 18 nibs in total, and they all work well with the black ink. They are, in fact, Rotring isograph pens. This is the same brand. At this point, I'm at a loss for what to do. This ink has really let me down.
This was purchased to go with my rOtring Isograph pens. Last year, I believe I paid less for the first bottle. Also, it appears that anything other than black has resulted in a significant price increase. This, on the other hand, functions as expected. When wet, it dissolves in water, but once dry, it is irreversible. So, if it gets on your nice white shirt or the carpet, clean it up as soon as possible.
There is no time limit for Rotring. The importer is the one who does it. December 2021 is also written on the red I just got today. Is there a problem with the ink? nope. However, if you're selling technical drawing supplies to technical people, this technicality may be an issue.
First and foremost, I was concerned that this product was a fake due to its high price. The fact that the box has the original Rotring seal on it made me feel better. In order to prepare for a new Isograph pen, I ordered ink. The ink was easy to work with and activated quickly with the pen. It is both waterproof and a lovely rich black, which is ideal for my art. In the future, I intend to experiment with the other colors.
In my opinion, the ink is of very high quality. It dries quickly and does not smear or smudge. And it's a nice dark ink with a lot of contrast. It hasn't faded at all, as far as I can tell. If you're looking for a good ink, this is the one to get.
However, you will receive a bottle that is entirely different in appearance and contains a different type of ink. It gives the wrong impression. Very let down.
