I'm always concerned that if I buy something cheap on Amazon, it'll be of poor quality. This is one of the most affordable options for a pen set of this type, and it performs admirably. br>br>Because I write with a light touch, these pens use just the right amount of ink for me to be able to read even small writing. The ink does not bleed in any way. br>br> Regardless of how hard you press, it dries almost instantly. Unless you use a lot of ink, it also won't bleed through the page. The only thing I don't like about it is how quickly the numbers on the top of the pen cap wear off. I've included a photo to demonstrate what I'm talking about. So far, only one of the numbers has worn off, and I keep them organized in the same case they came in, so I can still tell them apart, but if all of the numbers wear off, it will become confusing. br>br>Creative+ paraphrase: Someone suggested I use clear nail polish on the tops of the pens to keep the numbers from wearing off before Amazon discontinued the comments section. That's what I did, and they're now fine, so I'm not complaining.
This is a decent product. br>br>Pros:
- Sizes in a wide rangebr>- Make sure you don't bleed through the paperbr>- Waterproof appears to be the case. I didn't use watercolors, but I did use alcohol markers, which held up well to some water dripping on the paper. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product.
- My black marker and colored pencil are much darker on the first layer, making drawings look a little odd unless you want to layer it up. Which, in my opinion, defeats the purpose of drawing a very thin line by thickening it.
- Because it takes a long time for the paint to dry, you'll have to wait a while to color. When I first tried to use them, I accidentally smudged it. br>br>Overall, I wouldn't call these bad; they last longer than a lot of cheap pens, but I wouldn't buy them again. I prefer lines that are less opaque and dry faster than these.
I've been using these pens on and off since I first got them because they're a pain to use at times, and I finally figured out why. These look almost identical to regular felt tip pens, but the felt has a plastic sheath that makes hatching and shading impossible, so you're limited to line work. br>I wouldn't recommend them for anything other than writing, and even then, I wouldn't recommend them because they have a great flow but require a very thin writing angle.
I bought these as a gift for my son, an avid artist who had been quickly depleting his art pens, and we hadn't yet invested in refillable pens. I decided to give them a shot, and they turned out to be fantastic! The tips are extremely durable, and the flow is constant. He's had the pens for two months and they're still working great! I bought a second set just in case, but I doubt he'll need them for a while.
YES! These pens are so cool. I prefer them to Micron and Sakura. It's alcohol-based, so it won't smudge, and it's great for watercolor doodles and shading. The best part is that it offers a wider range of sizes to choose from. Instead of scrambling to find other pens and inks that don't match, make one piece with one set of pens. This is a fantastic set that is well worth the money and is very affordable. I now prefer these to my Micron/Sakura pens.
First and foremost, when it comes to use on the Ucreate poly cover sketchbook, the size 10 and 20 pens are a little 'dry. ' The other sizes, on the other hand, are fantastic. br>br>However, the most serious problem is the pen labeling. A gold paint is applied to the top of each cap, and it easily rubs off! This is the only size indication for each pen (the body of the pen is not labeled). Look elsewhere if small aspects of quality of life or efficiency are important to you.
Drawing is a hobby for my granddaughter. She was looking for these pens to add to her collection. Overall, she liked them, except that after a while, she said they stopped working and that you had to wait for more ink to come down to the pen tip. They are still functional six months later and have been extensively used for tracing. I'm glad I bought it, and I believe you will be as well.
The quality of these pens is outstanding. They don't bleed and work well with water, though they do show up on the back of thin paper a little. Aside from that, they have excellent packaging and deliver quickly!.
