I was immediately able to see many marks at one end of the item that appear to be melting points as I opened it. It renders that side of the ruler completely useless, making a large portion of the ruler impossible to use. The seller contacted me after I posted this orally.
Update**
I received an email from him after I posted this. As a result, I was refunded in full for the defective product. I asked for a new copy, free of charge, and was offered one after another. Hands down, their Customer Service is the best in the business. Rarely are you able to find a company that actually cares about its customers as much as this one. An excellent grade.
It happens sometimes that you go to a job site and some soft-handed, holy-seeker people are there I think - The engineer on your plans has chosen to translate your plans at a scale of 3/8" or 3/16". It becomes apparent that today will be a tough day for your patience as you grab your tape measure. You don't have to put an outlet in a toilet or a light in a skylight by making things go terribly wrong by measuring your elevations and locations accurately. Grab your scale ruler and start measuring. Easy life would be nice, but this would be better. It has edges at each end that Rounding the corners is what I did. As I said, these markings are not etched in, so they won't wear off easily. Next, I sprayed the surface with clear acrylic coat to protect them. The quality of what you buy is determined by the cost.
All of my scaled rulers were chipped and warped due to everyday use, so I thought I would splurge on one. The center groove of each side of this little guy is color coordinated, which I found very useful as I can work visually rather than having to pick it up and flip it around for the proper scale. The aluminum also resists chipping unlike the wood and plastic ones I already have. Since I work in 3/8" and 3/4" scale a lot, so the blue stripe is constantly on my mind. It is perhaps common on newer scale measuring sticks, but it is the first time I have ever noticed it, so it is really delightful in an ordinary In my opinion, this ruler may wear out too fast, the prints on the surface haven't worn away after a few months of use, but the marks are still visible, not engraved into the surface. There is a chance that this will wear out at some point, but so far it has held up.
I have just started to learn drafting to help me design have tried a number of architect rules, but I have not been The moment I saw this one, I had to give it a go. I was quite impressed with the rule that I received. A rule that I liked was the heft and feel of it. It soon became apparent, however, that something was amiss. A number of the numbers on the scale I was using seemed to be That sounds interesting. A spokesman for the company, Mr. Pen, sent me an email asking what I thought of the policy. Having a problem with logging in was the reason I responded. In response to Courtney's question, he told me the policy was NOT normal and offered to replace it. It is great that the new rule has been adopted! A quality control error may have occurred with the first rule. It is a company that stands behind their products and Courtney was very quick to replace the item I had. The service is fantastic and the company is great!.
I can throw it in my backpack knowing it won't snap in half like the thin plastic ones, but it's heavy so it won't slide around your papers easily, and mine has a camber to it so it won't lay I hate it! Since the sides won't chip like plastic ones, your lines should always be super straight, but the camber is a different story! I prefer to keep it in a place where it will get beat up to keep it, but it is not my go-to place for.
It is one of my hobbies to work with leather. The combination square I typically use for laying out lines is used both for cutting and locating scribe lines. Even so, it's a bit cumbersome at times, and something to handle that was aluminum would have been easier to handle, as well as alloy so my leather cutter wouldn't cut into it. The needs of the situation are met perfectly with this. I only have one negative thing to say about it because the ends are a little While it was not a sufficient cause for me to deduct a star, I thought it was worth noting just in case it happens to others who didn't expect The ends of some of these pieces are sharp enough to puncture your fingers or palms. The rounded ends will be used for my projects after I round them over a bit.
A ruler like this is solid both in its design and in its While I do not have direct experience with it, I would guess that it is accurate. There is nothing wrong with it. A bit disappointing is that 1 of the color-coded strips (blue) had already peeled off when the package was two (red and green) are also peeling off and tend not to be The reason you shouldn't buy this is that it won't last if you expect it to look pretty.
As far as I know, the ruler is easy to read, very sturdy, and accurate, but it appears that the colors shown on it are simply strips of tape that were not very sticky. When I pulled the ruler out of its packaging, the tape was already falling off. Despite not being applied in a straight line, the tape was left on a few inches in the middle. Due to my need for the ruler and the fact that colors don't matter much, I'd keep the ruler but do investigate.
