This was purchased in order to aid in the teaching of land navigation. These protractors are of the highest quality. These protractors are made of heavy-duty plastic with crisp corners and cutouts, and they have cutouts for the 1:20 and 1:50 scales. 1: 25,000 1 and 50,000: 100,000. The outer scale is graduated in "mils," the central scale is graduated in "degrees," and there is a red-printed inner scale for "back azimuth. " Unlike some other protractors I've used, the scale cutouts are exactly where they should be and there is no slab plastic on the edge to obstruct point plotting.

It's a good price, it's well made, and it's ideal for ROTC

My son is a first-year Army ROTC student, and he told me that this protractor was exactly what he needed for his land navigation class. It's a good price and it appears to be well-made, so it should last a long time.
