This protractor is of excellent quality, far exceeding my expectations. It takes the place of a low-cost plastic unit with a moving arm. It was difficult to determine where the arm should be placed in order to obtain an accurate measurement. It could be ten degrees off in various positions. Because it's used in Honors Geometry, 10 degrees can definitely lead to an incorrect answer. br>br>This protractor is stiff (but not overly so) and simple to orient. Depending on the diagrams provided, having two measurement options (small and larger units) is very useful. br>br>This protractor is one of our favorites.
Math is now more fun to solve for my daughter.
There was only a 6-inch version, no 4-inch version. The protractor is warped and does not lay flat by an inch. Instead of two pieces, I only received a 6-inch protractor. The 6 inch protractor was warped and did not lay flat on the table, making it useless as a protractor.
It helps master geometry by allowing you to check your angle construction to see if you set it up correctly, especially when doing angle bisects.
These protractors are made of high-quality clear plastic that makes the lines and numbers visible and easy to read. My purchase has satisfied me.
The fact that it is clear allows you to see the lines of the figure beneath the protractor is very nice and convenient.
br>In the past, I've purchased other plastic ones for my son, but they always break before the end of the school year. br>When I was in high school, I remember something similar to this. I'm relieved that we'll only buy one this year. He might continue to use this one next year. It can be done!.
It's a good deal. Because plastic is brittle, avoid dropping heavy objects on them.
