Amazon doesn't offer replacement erasers for the Papermate Clearpoint mechanical pencil, which is a major inconvenience to me. After I verified that the diameter was the same, I decided to try these. As an eraser substitute, I was pleased to discover that these work well and last longer than the traditional ones.
Although the refills still work, the hardness of the erasers is drastically different compared to the soft white block erasers. If you expect a soft white eraser like the nice hi-tech kind, don't buy it If you prefer the original twist eraser that comes with the pencil, then use polymer block erasers. Materials used in these products are much better than those in other products.
There were no erasers available for the Paper Mate Mechanical pencil with a diameter of 7mm. When they are put in backwards, these erasers will fit.
In class my favorite is to be able to flip over my pencil because it's quicker when I'm taking notes. However, I also use an eraser every couple of minutes so I have been looking for replacements that fit the clearpoint mechanical pencils, and I found them! As far as I can tell, you have to place them upside down, and if you dislike the little head part, you can simply cut it off.

Having to use them so much means we go through a lot of erasers, so this is a great way for us to save money. I've been using these erasers with Pentel Side FX pencils for about three years, and they have excellent quality (I've had them for about three years now). I just need to keep buying lead and erasers, though. However, the issue is that, for some reason, these erasers are quite expensive. You can buy a 36 pack of those big pink erasers for $15, and one of those pink ones is about as large as six of these Pentel erasers. I couldn't find them for as cheap as I wanted on Amazon, but the 36 pack was the best deal I could find. It works great to use the erasers. My experience as a student in engineering has been that I typically use one of these pens every month or month and a half. They erase cleanly and are very soft. I should be good for the duration of my college career with these 36!.
