Having purchased these to use with a Staedler 527 and a Sovereign electric eraser, I’m hoping to test their performance. There are a few old workhorses we used to use, but we no longer have the eraser refills . As long as you have tightened the adjuster ring at the bottom of the chuck (where you will be erasing) just enough so that it doesn't fall out while you are erasing, these should work fine. Compared to the old refills, these were a lot shorter, but they were so much cheaper that it's completely worthwhile. You also have to clean them up a lot, but it's worth it when you're erasing a lot of stuff.

I bought a pentel click eraser to see if the refills would work with my old electric eraser. I love how well they fit! As soon as the indented end is withdrawn, it is a lot easier for the clasp to latch onto the regular diameter, since it won't grasp the very end as the clasp would not engage with the regular diameter. It is of excellent quality and does not smudge.
