The dimensions of this 12" tablet are as follows Measures 75 inches by 9 inches. This pocket chart measures 5 x 4 inches and includes three clear 4-by-5-inch viewing areas. 3 pockets smaller than the 25-inch pocket and one larger pocket for each place value card

There are 200 counting straws included, 30 0-9 number cards, 3 hundreds, tens, and ones place value cards, 6 clear pockets, and a resource guide for fun activities and tips.

With the smaller pockets, you organize your place value charts, while the larger pockets organize the counting straws. Hang your chart on the wall or use the reinforced grommets to set it up onto a table, shelf, or stand for easy access.

Could a flat be used in place of straws in the hundreds place pocket?

I only use tubular flats and rods, and they are perfectly suited to my needs.

this come with plastic straws or do wooden dowels come with it?

The back of this product has a magnetic stripe, does it not?

I don't know if magnetic tape will work for the back, but you can probably put it on.

Elementary students need to know about this in order to succeed in their classes. It would be nice if you didn't have to cut the paper apart Although, it makes it look a little tacky and a little less formal.

All the number cards had to be cut out, so that was not an enjoyable experience. It was definitely a mistake not to pre-screen It is chopped.

In the end, this accomplishes what it was created for For students, it is used to demonstrate thousands, tens, and one place value with sticks. There are some cut and sew problems though. It is difficult to tell how neatly the fabric and plastic are sewed. The fabric is actually covered by the plastic. Despite its positive aspects, my wish would have been that there had been more time and effort.

You can use it to count backwards from school starting! Counting the days until school starts is so much fun with this product! Number cards don't really appeal to me since it's hard for my 1st graders to sort through and find the right one, so, instead of using number cards, I use dry erase tape and my students' just erase and write the correct numbers

As advertised, the item was not new

I received an item that was not new, despite the item being advertised as new. Besides the pocket chart, there were no numerals or place value cards included with it. Marker marks were on the chart and only the pocket chart was included.

This is a great resource for teaching young children about place value

The students in my class like this daily lesson on place value as they keep track of what we have done each day. Their favorite day of the week is bundle day, when all ten straws are wrapped and then thrown into the tens' pockets.

This would make a good addition to our homeschool The only thing I don't like about this product is it doesn't come with rubber bands to hold the straws together
