It's not magnetic; instead, it's secured to the table with a set screw. It's a fantastic, well-designed product.
I would say no, and make sure they include the hardware, as I ordered three and only one set came with it.
I'm attempting to visualize what you're talking about. Clamping would be ideal only on one side of a table or desk because it comes with holes already in place on the glass, and you must connect the clamps in those spots.
My desk, too, was excessively thick. My husband divided the clamp in half and bolted the two halves together. It's fantastic!

Love it - The 48" model was requested. Lightweight, with a nice opacity for a sense of privacy while still allowing enough light to pass through. The height is just right, so it provides privacy while allowing me to peek over it while remaining seated in my chair. The clamps are made of extremely heavy-duty metal and may be over-sized. I'm not complaining because they were designed for this lightweight of a panel (I'll probably use them for something else someday). Make sure you know how thick your desk top is. My Ikea desk top is 5cm thick, and the clamps barely fit over it, the screws backed all the way out as if it were a perfect snug fit. In other words, these clamps can only hold a maximum of 5cm. Assembly was also simple, though due to the length of the panel, I found it helpful to have a helping hand when attaching it to my desk.
You won't find a better desk divider for this price, and the frosted effect is particularly appealing because it allows you to see shadows but not the person in front of you. Overall, I'm pleased with the product. It's the right length and height. br>br>ON THE OTHER HAND. The packaging was a complete disaster. It was a nightmare to remove the protective brown packaging paper that adhered to BOTH SIDES of each divider. To remove the paper from each divider, it took 8 members of my team working together. You know how when you buy a cheap product with a sticker on it and have to peel it off, the sticker comes off in tiny bits and pieces and leaves residue behind? Consider a sticker that does the same thing but is 60 inches long. We spent an hour and a half removing the paper from three dividers. We have a fourth one that is still sealed in its box because we are unable to open it at this time. A message to the seller: br>br> Brown packing paper is used to wrap it, and painters tape is used to hold it together. It'll do the job just as well, but your customers won't have bloody fingers and glue all over the place when they're done.
I was initially concerned after reading a review about the glass's adhesive papers. My son, on the other hand, was able to solve the problem by heating the covering first before peeling it off with a heat gun. It easily peels away from the glass, leaving no trace of glue. To avoid future buyer frustration, I believe the seller should provide instructions on how to remove the adhesive paper from the glass. br>Overall, this is a fantastic product for protecting my privacy while working from home.
My privacy screen has been a huge hit with me. It's frosty, so it provides all the privacy you need; it's very sturdy, and I expect it to last a long time; and it's adjustable, so no matter how thick your desk is (mine is very thin), it'll feel sturdy and won't wobble. br>It has a rounded edge, so there are no sharp edges, and did I mention it's very easy to install? I highly recommend it, and I'm very pleased with it.
The clamps are only so big and don't fit literally any desk surface I could find in my apartment, which is one of the few things I didn't like. As a result, we had to mount them on top of the desk and leave a gap between the desk and the acrylic, as described by others in the reviews.
. Which is fine, I suppose, but the fact that there are only two clamps makes it very flimsy. Meaning, if you hit it with any kind of force, you might have to buy a new one. At the very least, it's cheap, right?.
To attach, you'll need a ledge on the desk's front. This isn't the right item for you if your desktop is flush with the front desk panel. This isn't the right product for you if your desk has a curved front. Fortunately, everything went off without a hitch in this instance. It's light but sturdy, fits perfectly, and takes only a few minutes to install. We didn't even need to read the directions or use any special equipment. The frosted appearance provides some privacy, but you can still see over the tops if necessary.
When you've finished putting it together, it'll be about 17" tall. We couldn't use it because it didn't work for us, but it took too long to get back, so it's laying next to me because we can't use it. Because our computer screens and employees' heads are all visible above the divider, we don't use it as a privacy screen. I'd like to come back. I didn't give it a one or zero star rating because I didn't try to put it together, and the material appears to be sturdy and well-made.
Unpacking and installing the Privacy Panel was a breeze. Everyone who works with me, on the other hand, uses two monitors and stands at their desks. The privacy panel takes up about the same amount of room as the two monitors. The space between the monitors is limited to 6 inches on each side and 1 inch on the top. It is not worth the trouble, according to the very tall person who is using it. To achieve privacy, it would have to be much taller at the top.
