We make this chair organizer of rugged nylon fiber that measures 16 3/8" x 15" (inside width 14 5/8") and fits well on chairs up to 15". It includes clear plastic tabs for a nametag (size 9 34" x 3 12) that can be replaced. This means that they are more secure on the chair since they don't need to be tied on.

Is it possible to wash these ?

The answer is yes. It had served me well in my classroom for the past two years. It was disgusting to see them. The 24 I had were all the same. The whole load went into the washing machine on a delicate cycle. I didn't intend to wash them by hand. However, I did not put them in the dryer. When we pulled them out of the washing machine, they looked great!

It will fit a 1 1/2 inch binder, correct?

It is true. There is plenty of room.

About how much space does the pocket hold and how wide does it open?

There are a few inches between the pocket and the outside of the bag. In theirs, students stocked their bins with dry erase boards, reading books, clipboards, and journals. They have a good amount of durability. As of yet, I have not put in hardback books.

It's important for students to keep organized and know where their belongings are

By having these cheer sacks on the back of the chairs during the school year, my students stay organized throughout the year. There is never a question as to where specific texts are because there are obviously books directly in front of them on the chairs. Students simply switch back and grab what they need and then carry on.
