'No,' is the quick answer. Plastic is used for the black ones. The rest are made up of a combination of plastic and metal. Any of these will be broken if you whack it with a mallet. They work well on softer surfaces. Making dots with paint, sculpting with polymer clay, and sculpting with clay
The larger tools didn't work out well for me. They were incapable of making a round dot on a rock. On rocks, I found the small dotting tool to be useful.
Yes, I believe so, because the paint is splattered across the surface.
DecoArt Americana is my personal favorite. It makes a nice dot and isn't too runny or stiff (stiff paint produces pointed peaks instead of a smooth raised dot).

I have a set of these from a different seller that I adore. I needed a second set so that I wouldn't mix my ceramic tools with oil-based clay tools. These aren't as well-made as the previous ones. They are covered in glue, and one of them has hair glued into it. They were scuffed and cracked when they arrived. The pink set's grip has been chipped, and the metal has been scratched. They can still be used, but the glue must be cleaned and chipped away. It's inconvenient, but not enough to warrant returning it.
I'd never used these kinds of painting tools before, and I'm glad I did.
These are precisely the tools I needed for my mandala rock artwork. br>They're light and comfortable to hold (although the ones with pink grips are a little heavier). br>I have a minor reason for taking one star away from a perfect "5": One of the utensils (the "spiral"-shaped ones) Within a month of use, one of the silver heads had disappeared. This is most likely due to my own indifference, but I have to admit - Along with my acrylic paint brushes, I let them "soak" in water over night. br>In general, I am a very happy customer and craftswoman (:.
These were something I was hoping to enjoy. They were heavy and cool, but getting a perfect dot of paint from them is difficult, and if you're trying to dot inside a dot, it's even more difficult because you can't see around the ball. Save time and money by purchasing the easier-to-use flat acrylic dot painters.
This pack has a lot of variety, which I like. They're long-lasting and simple to work with.
This flaw was overlooked by quality control. My biggest plastic dotter has a giant plastic blob attached to it. What a sour taste in the mouth! It's also worth noting how difficult it will be to remove the paint.
I purchased these to try my hand at dot painting, which is much more difficult than it appears. The issue, however, is with the painter, not with the equipment. These are strong and well-made, and they're also very easy to clean after use. I used them with Folk Art brand craft paint, and I recommend practicing your technique before beginning a project, but these are fantastic tools.
I've only recently begun dot painting, and this set is an excellent place to start. It's not too expensive, and there's a good selection of tools. Definitely a good investment.
