I suppose that's the case. They are of a reasonable size.
I'm not sure I'd go for it.
We have a total of seven spnges. 5 inches long by 5 inches wide by 2 inches thick
I simply squeezed it a few times. I have not washed the sponges in a dishwasher or a washing machine.

For my son's ceramics class, I bought these sponges. I took a look at the ones that were suggested for use with ceramics. They weren't bad, but they weren't spectacular. Then I saw these sponges and thought they were a great deal. As a result, when they arrived, they were enormous. Even after halving it, it's still quite large. But, hey, they get the job done. That is all that matters. I'm down to three left. I'm going to wash my car with one. But I believe I'll have to halve that one. I can't wash anything because my hands are too small to hold comfortably. If you're looking for a high-quality sponge that's also big and affordable, this is the one to get.
These are nice, big, and reasonably priced. sponges with a lot of absorbency that can be used in a variety of ways. If you've used these "contractor" sponges before, all I have to say is that they're just as good as any I've ever used. I keep one in my kayak for removing pools of water from the interior, as well as wiping up excess grout and caulk, large and dirty cleanups like window frames and door jambs.
Have a basement water leak and other sponges suck water from the bottom up to the top while just sitting these stay dry on top only touching the water at the bottom. I didn't expect it to hold as much water as it does. This isn't a good application for it.
These were purchased to be used around the house, but they do not absorb water. They'll splatter so much water that you'll need to mop it up with a towel. They'd be ideal for car washing because it doesn't matter if the sponge leaves soapy water behind because you'll be rinsing and drying it anyway.
"Liquid is absorbed by sponges" – That's not the kind of sponge we're talking about here. It isn't a water absorbent. It can only be used to wipe off or wipe on things. I should've read the rest of the description more carefully. My four are all different in terms of how they're cut - Manufacturing that is mediocre at best.
These were purchased to keep water out of my whitewater kayak while paddling. They also help me get all of the water out of my boat before storing it. Before using, soak them in warm water to make them puff up, according to the instructions. I didn't, instead squeezing the water out with the squished-up sponge. Leaving them out for a couple of hours also helps to restore the sponge's original shape. br>I'm also going to use a few of these to clean my car.
Depending on your application, this is a good value for the money. I bought them to soak up water in the bottom of a boat, but they don't absorb as well as I had hoped. It's possible that it's because my other sponge has a higher density.
I bought and used these sponges to wipe grout off of tile,,,AWESOME,,,I only needed one sponge to clean my entire shower enclave. I prepped the sponge, washed it according to the directions, and used it to wipe my grout off my tile; I was very impressed that it rinsed clean throughout the project, and because it only took one sponge for my bathroom, I have extra sponges for other things like washing my rig and so on, which they are holding up to and not breaking or falling apart.
