Questions & Answers
I ordered less than a month ago and all of the sponges have rounded edges, so they must have sent you the wrong item. You can ask for a refund or return. I would.
It all depends on the type of paint you're using. I use Snazaroo water-based paints, which are easily washed away with warm water.
That is correct. I cut mine in half to make them last longer and so that I could use them for different colors.
These sponges aren't flaky, and I'm not sure what wood butter is. If that's a concern, they wouldn't leave any particles. They're also resistant to wear and tear.

However, because the price was reasonable, I decided to take a chance. They were a little squishy when they arrived, but after I washed them, they plumped up nicely. I'm totally smitten. A single swipe of sponge loaded with a Global Split cake created the rainbow photo. They have a dense, moderately firm but soft texture that holds paint exceptionally well. Today, I'm going to order a new set!.
But that's only because they've crammed 25 sponges into a small container. I washed and dried my sponges (which every artist should do for sanitary reasons) and they were perfect! Don't let the negative reviews deter you from taking advantage of this fantastic offer!.
I, too, am a face painter, as have other reviewers. The festival season is here, and we're going to need a lot of sponges to keep our jobs clean. This will aid us in achieving our objective. Reading the reviews made me a little concerned, but considering the price, I decided it was worth taking the chance. I'm glad I jumped at the chance! The sponges arrived full and fluffy, shipped and packaged nicely, perhaps because the distributor read the comments and changed their methods. There was not a single one that was crooked. I cut them in half for my needs. They do a good job of holding my paint and are easy to clean. I would recommend this product to other painters, and I will order more from here when my sponges become dingy and need to be replaced.
I'd probably order these once every two weeks or so. That is not going to happen. br>br>These sponges arrived crammed into a box with no protective covering or bag. Since manufacture, I have no idea what they've come into contact with or what they've been exposed to in storage or transit. I primarily work with children from the ages of two to eighteen - For me, cleanliness and safety are paramount. These didn't live up to my expectations. Furthermore, when I opened the package, I noticed that the box was so small that they would have had to pack them in by hand, squeezing them in and closing the box while they were compressed. The majority of the sponges were deformed as a result, rendering them unfit for use in pottery and painting. anything! br>br>Out of the 25 sponges I received, only FOUR were in usable condition. However, due to the risk of them being unsafe, I am unable to use them for my events and will only use them when painting myself - That's all there is to it. The rest have been flattened, pinched, or twisted to the point of being useless for any activity. br>br>This is a complete waste of money and should be avoided at all costs. EDIT: br>br> I soaked them in water for a couple of hours and then dried them. They haven't gotten any better.
Sponges have done a fantastic job! It's convenient to have a large pack because I can cut some sponges into smaller pieces for smaller paintings or detail work. They're very simple to clean; all I needed was some water and a few minutes to remove all of the paint (darker colors will stain them, especially after sitting). Even so, most color stains aren't too bad and have no effect on the sponges' performance). br>br>They arrived in good condition, were not squished together in the bag, and are a good size (cutting them up is simple and clean). I'll definitely be buying again because the price is so good for the amazing quality and quantity! I'm excited to try making clouds with these, and I'll post an update once I do!.
Although they are a little thinner than the "official" face painting sponges, they have a similar density and I believe they worked well. They arrived compressed in a plastic bag, so I transferred them to a lingerie bag and washed them delicately before air drying them. Perfect!.
The density is medium, they are playable yet hold their shape, and they are nearly identical to the expensive Wolfe Brothers sponges at a fraction of the price. They're dense enough that even when wet and loaded with paint, I don't get paint all over my hands from the sponge bleeding. It's simple to cut them in half and they hold paint well. They're also gentle on the skin and clean up easily with little staining. You have come to the right place if you're looking for a good face painting sponge. These are incredible! I'm sure they'd be useful for any other paint-related craft project.
We were squished inside the box, which was wrapped in clear plastic. They were dented, as in some of the other photos, but after a good wash in soapy water, they were nice and round. I purchased these to use for face painting and have been very pleased with the results thus far.
