Questions & Answers
These ought to do the trick.
As long as the alcohol ink is runny, these sponges can be used to manipulate it. Alcohol inks can't be mixed when they're completely dry.
I find that using packing peanuts first works best, and then using sponges adds a little more softness. If you use a heavy grit paper, they are easily torn and don't last very long.
That is correct. For pastels, this is ideal.

Makeup sponges could be used, but only if you can find ones that are firm. The makeup sponges I purchased have no body and are as light as air. More paint ends up on my fingers than on the canvas. br>br>All of the Sofft Sponges are designed for artistic purposes and perform admirably. It's a good investment.
These are firm and absorb a lot of the pan pastel medium. I decided to buy this set because it contained two of the foam shapes that the artist found most useful in her work, based on videos of the pan pastel demonstration that I had seen. What I didn't realize was that I didn't need this pack because two of these sponges were included in the 10 pack pastels set I had bought. The product's information was unclear, and it appeared that only the media pans were included, with no applicator tools. So keep that in mind if you're thinking about getting these along with a set of pastels for the first time; you'll always find a use for them, but they might not be an immediate need if you're getting the pastels together.
The sponges are a nice mix. I think it's a good way to figure out which ones you prefer.
I wish they were a little cheaper, and if you leave them out in the open for a long time, they can get a little dusty on the edges. To keep them looking new, I'm storing them in zip lock bags.
These PanPastel Sofft Art Sponges are ideal for using with PanPastels in mixed media projects!.
Great product, works well with pan pastels and does exactly what it says.
I had to have some after seeing a demonstration with them. Allows you to easily blend backgrounds. It's also great for adding details.
