It leaked as a result of a failed seam tape inside the neoprene feet of my breathable waders. The product was an attempt to avoid spending $400 on new waders as a last-ditch measure. My surprise at the success of the product was that it performed better than expected and completely stopped the leak. Make sure to follow the instructions closely (use an iron that is heated enough, use a moist handkerchief to protect the surrounding neoprene, and make sure you get the seam as flat as possible) and you will achieve With these improvements, I should be able to use my waders for several more years.
You can glue it in a hurry.
There is a VERY LIGHT smell to it. There is nothing overpowering about it at all. As of now, I am loving this stiff. Burning this stuff is not even an option for me. From now on I will use this tape instead of iron on patches for any rips as it is so easy to apply and has so many other benefits over conventional iron on patches. I guarantee you that this stuff is legit, and no matter how you got to this listing or review, just know that things happen for a reason, and that the reason is,.
I am being honest and saying that we do not currently repair wetsuits this way - Under chairs and furniture, it is used to tack up upholstery to prevent our cat from unraveling the edges of the fabric, and to prevent it from trying to eat it. In that case, it works okay- I did not need to use a very sticking material to avoid making his paws stick to it, but we needed something that would bond well, leave no sticky residue and not be easily untangled when he decides We use this as a reference.
With a little bit of ease, you can cut, peel, and adhere to get started.
I use it for seem sealers on the Jeep soft top window edges. In order to get it to stick without melting to the iron, I had to get the temperature just right. In truth, I'm a bit scared about putting on my actual wetsuit, as there is just a small window of temperature between sticking and causing damage.
