A wall mount 19" bracket I bought, a Tripplite 1U for my Ethernet adapters, and a shelf to hold my switch completed my purchase. We were able to use this shelf very effectively. In the short term, I could have survived with a 6" shelf. But I wanted to make sure I would not regret my decision in the long run. I would say the shelf is strong and overkill for the weight of the switch, but it does the job well. There were black mounting screws, washers, and cage nuts included which I used to finish off the shelf. I put rubber feet in the corners of the shelf so I could place this entire rack assembly at I am pleased with the outcome. Although there was one painting defect at one of the mounting ears, the screw and washers were able to hide most of it. It had no effect on the use of the shelf. With regard to my project, I am very happy with it.
