Thank you for getting in touch with us, br>br>! br>br>This shelf is mounted in a 1U rack opening and does not sit at an angle. The angle at which it sits will be the same as the angle at which the rack enclosure sits on the floor. I have a home built rack and a studio cabinet style rack, and this shelf was too small for both (my home built rack is 1/8" under 19" center-to-center-to-center-to-center-to-center-to-center-to-center-to-center-to-center-to-center-to-center-to-center-to-center-to- center! ) br>br>I was 18 1/4" or 46 inches tall. 36cm in the middle- a focal point For standard 19" racks, this renders it useless. No, you can't mount it properly because of the oblong holes.

AC Infinity is a great company to work with. Let's get that out of the way right away. I got three shelves from them, as well as a couple of front-mounted fans and a blower unit with LCD display and controls for the top of the rack. br>br>However, in practice, I've discovered flaws in the shelf designs. This could just be my use case, but I'm sure it will affect others as well. br>br>As I previously stated, I purchased three shelves, two 1U and one 2U, over the course of building out my rack. I've had to stop using them because they all have the same design flaw. The fatal flaw is as follows: br>br> There is a lip on the shelves. The steel makes a curve and hangs down a few millimeters in the back, bent downward for stability and finish. This prevents any slide-mounted server or device directly below the shelf from being slid back into the rack once it has slid past the shelf's back edge. The back of the server "catches" on the downturned lip of the shelf above it, preventing it from going any deeper. You can lift (with some force) the back edge and lip of the shelf while pushing the server back into position in an open rack or a cabinet with at least one side panel off. If you do this by hand, you're likely to bang or pinch your finger. br>br>To get the server all the way in a closed cabinet, you'll need to remove a side panel. It is not a problem if the shelf is not placed directly above a server or if the server does not slide in and out. br>br>Mounting/re-mounting Knowing this would be a problem when mounting the shelf, I pushed it up as far as I could while tightening the rack bolts in front. The extra millimeter or two or three you gain this way isn't useful or helpful, and it doesn't solve the problem. br>br>Since then, I've ordered two "No lip" replacement shelves from a different vendor. "br>br>As I previously stated, AC Infinity produces high-quality gear and accessories. These shelves, on the other hand, were useless.
My program calls for. Standard 19-inch rack mount is compatible. In an enclosed rack, my application necessitates a lot of vertical airflow. Although I've only had it for a few days, I can already tell that the design allows for vertical flow within the enclosure. In order to fit a larger piece of equipment (a 16 port POE switch) into my application, I had to install one of the racks upside down. When I removed one of the shelves from the containers, it was slightly bowed in the middle, which is why it did not receive five stars. For this price, I'd anticipate more.
This is a *very* sturdy shelf, especially for the price; I've worked in IT (networking/hardware/virtual infra, etc. ) for over 15 years, and this is a fantastic deal. These are far superior to the majority of similar examples I've seen in data centers, and I'm confident they cost half as much. I purchased two to add to my home office telco rack and plan to purchase more based on the quality/price ratio. If you don't have brackets for said gear, this can easily accommodate a small server/tower or network gear. It also comes with telco rack screws (which work on threaded telco racks as well as standard square hole racks when used with the captive nuts included). I would strongly suggest it - The rated weight (and probably more) will be held with no problem.
These are beautifully constructed and fit perfectly. Because of the two, I purchased two of these. The claim is for a 4mm thickness and a 60-pound capacity. It wouldn't break if you put 60 pounds on it, but it would sag like a poopy diaper. br>If you have something around 10 or 15 pounds, these will suffice; however, with only one, I'm curious as to how flimsy the other brands are. Steel that is 2mm thick!.
The most important feature I'd like to highlight is that it has been meticulously designed to eliminate sharp edges and corners. It's silky smooth and has a surprising pleasant finish. When you have a lot of rack gear, you run the risk of cutting yourself, but this shelf is actually quite nice: the material is heavy enough to support reasonable loads on a standard cabinet, and it only attaches to a single rack rail because it's a cantilever half depth shelf. br>br>The shelf also has plenty of tie straps on the sides for securing cables. I don't think the shelf's venting would work well for tie straps, but there are some nice long slots on the side that would be useful for cable management and passing cables from the shelf in an orderly manner. br>br>The product comes in a nice box with rack screws and nuts that fit square hole racks perfectly. br>br>I'm going to order another shelf for my humble home rack, and I'd happily recommend these to anyone.
With super thick sheet stock, a rolled front gusset for added strength, and thick tabs for the rack ears, this rack is well built. This appears to be capable of supporting several hundred pounds. without moving an inch However, there is a problem with the front gusset: br>br> Because it takes up vertical space, you can't use this rack to store other 1U items. br>br>This simply does not allow you to rack mount 1U items for audio equipment (recording, live, etc. ). I tried it with a GAP Pre73 and a Comp 54, but it didn't work. It will require a clear space above it to be used. It works for small items you want to keep on the rack (such as a small keyboard or a Maschine Mikro).
When I ordered it, I didn't have high hopes. It's nothing more than a bookcase. When I first opened it, I was blown away by the build quality. Heavy-duty construction. It's a lot more durable than my own rack! My rack now appears to be more stable. It has some holes in the sides directly behind the mount, which I didn't notice when I ordered it. Because I didn't want to spend $80 on the right rails, I'm using this to mount a Dell R210 ii. It appears to be a better fit than the Dell rails. The server's pegs were a perfect fit for the shelf's opening. You did an excellent job!.
