These are electronics racks (server racks, studio electronics racks, etc). As far as I know, I use them for electronics racks and they are fantastic! I am not sure if they will be of any use to you.
There is a plastic ring and it has a 4 mm depth.
All racks with the 10/32 thread will work with these.

You should NOT buy these screws and expect them to work in standard 10-inch holes The rack rails are 32 threaded. It is a 10-position screw, not a 10-inch The rack rail on one of my servers has two snapped off, making that rack space unusable until I can remove it and reattach it Screws should be tapped to speed up installation. In spite of the fact that they were purchased months ago, I haven't started on my project. The other day I began working on that project only to discover that the screws were *Be very careful *Not to buy these screws!.
If you think of the quality rack screw that gator makes, you might expect it to be a gator product They have a good selection of rack cases. This time, however, there is a problem. These screws are made of soft metal. As a result, both the thread and the bolt end easily come apart. Using one of these once will not enable it to be reused again. The following information is also relevant They do not have a locator on the end of the screw, so assembly is difficult. It is disappointing to find out that you can't get your audio equipment seated. You should probably purchase some standard 10/32 (rack size) screws and add plastic washers instead of buying the set with the built in washer.
There is no way to tell what material these screws are made of, but if you look at them the wrong way, the head will strip. The threads are very susceptible to cross-threading, stripping, and You'd expect any screwdriver to achieve this result, but no matter how tightly you clutch your drill, no matter the type, regardless of whether you use a battery screwgun or a hand screwdriver. When you buy these, you will spend two times as much.
In their advertisements, they were referred to as 10 m5 metric turned out to be the right measurement. Before I decided to take them to the hardware store with the screw that fits, and these, I had used these for a number of things. I had a screw I had that worked, so I took one of them and the screw to the hardware store. As it turns out, these screws are metric, not 10-mm There are 32 threads in my cart that I thought I had purchased. The vendor I ordered them from used to charge me more. If they know the difference between imperial and metric thread sizes, that would be great. The screws are nice enough apart from the loose fitting (but nice) finishing washers that make turning them difficult. You need a screwdriver to take it apart so you can iron it out. Metric rack rails work just fine with the screws.
Too inconsistent, bad quality control. They found the trash after I had to replace an 8u rack ear because they stripped it.
It's not worth the risk of stripping a rail and having to drill a screw out and then retap it (which is a major pain in Installation is easy with these, they fit all standard rails and look nice when finished. For my stage racks, my home theater rack, and my studio audio rack, I use these. The price was well worth it. Never cheap out! If you want the best, buy it!.
This is an extremely easy thing As a result of their brand recognition, I expected them to be of high Although they look great and are well made, the metal used for the screw is too soft, so they won't hold together. This is a very disappointing experience.
A screw is terrible since it strips too It is made in some instances that become too tight when you get closer This is the worst screw I have ever bought, and I will never buy them.
