I've had two of these for about three years, and they don't make any noise. You might be able to find cables that can withstand more abuse and last longer. I use these about 40 times a year after setting the sound. They continue to function effectively.
These are used to connect a microphone to equipment such as snakes, mixers, and audio interfaces. They can also be used as a cable extender. I've got six of them, two of which are 50 feet long. I've been using them in church services and in the studio for over four years. There will be no issues. The sound is very clear.
It will work with the standard 2020 and the 2021, but not with the USB-C 2020. 2020 is a model.

This cable has served me well in a variety of situations. The connector pieces appear to be well made, and they can be used for everything from recording vocals to performing live. They make solid (rather than sloppy) connections and produce a clean (rather than distorted) signal. When I move the cable while it's connected, there are no crackles, pops, or fizzes. Great value for the money, and well-made enough for the home studio or performing musician.
It's critical that I eliminate as many potential sound issues as possible during production, which begins with good gear selection. I recently bought a GLS Audio 25-foot mic patch cable to use with my Audio Technica AT 897 shotgun microphone. The day the cable was installed, I shot a job. The shoot lasted two days and took place in a variety of commercial and outdoor settings. There was a lot of run and gun, which resulted in cables slamming into the set. The cable was faultless in its performance. There was no hum from any of the equipment. I was using the same field mixer as usual, and the noise level was significantly lower than usual. I can only blame it on the new cable because it was the only thing I changed. My preamps were also pleased because they didn't make a single pop, hiss, or buzz. The well-fitting XLR connectors had to be the culprit. This is an excellent cable for the money. I think it's a great deal, and I strongly suggest it.
Because I work as a full-time musician, these cables are put to a lot of use. They're used, wrapped, stepped on, and spilled on at least three times per week. You name it, and it's there. They also spend time in a freezing cold and sweltering hot car or van. Being on the road is simply a fact of life. Their performance and longevity have exceeded my expectations. It is unbeatable in terms of price. I've purchased these cables several times over the years and have never had to replace any of them (knock on wood). They've outlasted a few of my high-end name-brand cables at this point. These are something I strongly advise you to buy. They work well in the studio and are also tough on the road.
I spent the same amount of money on these cables as I did on previous cables because the connectors were too easily broken. br>About the author: The cable gauge appears to be adequate for normal microphone cable use - unwrap, lay out, plug in, walk around with it for a while, deal with the occasional light tug, re-wrap Toss in the cables box after coiling (over/under for long cable life). br>The connectors are far superior to the low-cost cables I had previously purchased. They're not $100 cables with crazy beefy connectors that have five levels of protection against bending/yanking/abuse, but they're more than adequate for rehearsal and a few local shows a month. If I were on a trip that lasted longer than a month, I'd pay more for a higher-quality tour if it was a longer one. end cable, but it appears to meet all of my requirements and should last a long time (assuming no one grabs the cable and yanks it out of a socket repeatedly).
I've learned to trust GLS Audio's quality and craftsmanship after purchasing equipment from them previously. This item did not fall short of my expectations. These cables are sturdy and have excellent connectors. The sound is what you'd expect. It's great because of the value proposition. They offer this product at a price that is both reasonable and meets my requirements. I highly recommend their microphones as well as their cables. I use a GLS Audio ES-100 for each gig. (I'm sure you can figure out which mic I'm talking about. ) When I use a Shure SM-58, My voice is flatter now that I'm 58 years old. It's a lot brighter with this one, which I really like. GLS Audio has mic cables, mics, and other products that I recommend.
I needed to rewire my cables after investing the equivalent of a nice SUV in new 4k native gear. This item took a long time for me to review. This cable's quality has genuinely surprised me. I've tried much more expensive cables and had far less success. I've paid 5X more and been dissatisfied with the purchase because of signal noise and loose connectors. GLS produces an excellent product with clear signals, solid construction, and even a Velcro tie for packing it up if desired. I will not plug in or record with anything else, and that is a fact! Hands down, the best bang for your buck on the market. Simply acquire some! You will not be sorry.
