My Rodecaster Pro is still with me, but the PodTrak is being returned. The following reasons are to be considered It is a decent interface, but I do not think it includes the same level of audio quality as the Rodecaster Pro, nor any fine tuning options. PodTrak has a nice feel to it and the touch screen works well, but there are some limitations to it when it comes to processing options. A single slider is created by combining the De Esser and the Compressor. The way it is now works fairly well, but they would do better if they weren't tied together so that each could be customized. There is no noise gate, so that is my next issue. The fact that Rodecaster Pro has this capability as an optional feature, because the PodTrak is directly competitive with the Rodecaster Pro, and by comparison the Rodecaster offers an excellent option, makes it necessary to have this option in the PodTrak. In Zoom's marketing materials, the PodTrak is described as having a noise reduction setting. However, it seems to work only when multiple microphones are attached. In addition, since these podcast interfaces are marketed as "do it all" interfaces, I think that on the whole the PodTrak does not sound as good nor offers as many.
It is my intent to update this review after some legitimate use of the PodTrak 8, but I give it four stars based on the following It arrived today, and within an hour of unboxing it, I was recording voiceover for a project that worked very nicely. In that sense, I include setup, adjusting the configuration to fit my preferences, configuring other hardware to suit my needs, etc.
I am not a music expert, but I know it's very intuitive to use when it's explained. The only channel I might use is the one I usually use - I don't podcast. What is the point of that? I don't see it as wasteful To begin with, I use it to drive a Shure SM7B mic directly - it is capable of doing this easily - I can avoid spending $150 or more on a microphone activator (e. g. This program lifts cloud particles. My only reason for a missing star so far on the review is that for some reason, when connected to Track 1, my computer is unable to pass through sound from the headphones, even though the headphones are listed as being the destination on the computer. Until I have more experience, I am not being too critical at this time. There is nothing to complain about in terms of sound quality I also appreciated the ease with which a good EQ could be set up for the voice. PodTrak P8 is a highly promising Zoom product! We are very pleased with how it works!.
looking forward to this phone for a few months now and it has not failed to deliver. In my experience, a Yamaha MG10XU, which does the same thing as the P8, was a mess. As soon as we opened the box, we made our first test recording. Podcasting is definitely the purpose of this thing. The mic cables took longer to uncoil than it took for the unit to be set up. This is mind-blowing to me. I wish it had built-in effects as the only functionality I wish it had. It would be nice to be able to finally retire the Yamaha mixer if we had built-in effects.
It took me quite a while to familiarize myself with the device and purchase the necessary cables, connectors, and the Bluetooth patch cable for phone plugging. With its built-in features, SD cards, etc. , this device appears to be the perfect match for our needs The performance of the device was great. I like the ability, ease of use, etc. Today I get to the gig, start setting up, and - upon plugging in and powering up - the display flashes greenish patterns, then just turns off. A relapse is impossible no matter how many times you try Booting it would bring it back to life. Having been so well prepared for our podcast, I was shocked by how quickly it happened. (While the participants waited patiently) I was able to hack together a setup from equipment I just happened to have in the car - it is far from ideal, but for now it serves the purpose. Oh man, what a letdown! Getting it replaced right now is the next step. I am going to the Amazon "returns" section. It is my hope that this is The MID-range I am pleased to share the August update My return was processed at the beginning of July (after Zoom requested a great deal of purchase information), and I was given an RA number. The shipping probably had to be paid for. Zoom never got back to me after I sent it back. After a few weeks, things are pretty much normal. sent a message through the form on their website, but I did not receive a response. There is nothing- The past few weeks have been a complete wash. Finally, I locate a phone number and make a As I understand it, they are replacing the unit, but that they are still negotiating with the vendor A new one should be sent to me by the end of July, since the one I ordered was already shipped out. Yet, this company has not replied to me a word since the end of July. The customer service provided by a company has never resulted in me being more disappointed. Frustrating to say the least. When it comes to customer service, Zoom makes great products, but woe to you if you need it!.
use it for live streaming as well as to record my weekly podcasts, which can be heard here on Amazon, on Apple and on The 206geek is what it is called. After using a different setup for a while, I've exclusively made use of it for my podcast and live streams on my laptop since I got it.
We have owned the Zoom podtrak P8 podcaster for about two months and it has made our podcasts so much more smooth. The tracks can be exported as a combined track or as individual tracks (better for editing). There are two things I don't like about the app -- the voice internal editing and the fact that it is not a Other than that, it's a great product, and we'll keep utilizing it for the podcast in the future.
You can start a podcast so easily with it. As of now, no problems have occurred.
liked how easy it was to use and how simple it was! It takes no time at all to transfer audio files from Podtrak to your computer. The sound quality is of the highest level and is PROFESSIONAL It looks cool, of course! You should definitely get this for anyone doing podcasts, audio recordings, YouTube, audiobooks, etc. Plus the buying/shipping were flawless and there were no problems at all.
