Questions & Answers

Can it be played by the built-in ?

Yes, it comes with a built in speaker which isn't very You can listen to the recorded audio via the headphone jack or you can use that to listen to yourself as you record.

Please allow me to ask a question about overwatch I shall be dubbing something on my It is a system that tracks Would it be feasible to listen to a guitar track after recording it, ahead of adding the other tracks Do the vocals need to be dub? Is it possible to record a bass line for those two tracks in their combined form, if you can listen to It would be great if you could let me know more about it...?

When it comes to portable workstations for songwriters, the Zoom H4N is the best solution. The program offers greater flexibility when it comes to multitracking, and it features guitar amp and cabinet effects, which are ideal for electric guitarists who lay down demo tracks while wearing Andrése is correct about what you can do, but maintain the multiple passes as separate tracks is impossible. Chad Walker is right On the DR40x, it is not possible to record one mono track, then another mono track, and another mono track, so that you have 4 mono tracks to mix together. As far as flexibility is concerned, Zoom is much more versatile.

What is the performance difference between the built-in microphone and a 50- to $100 MXL, Behringer, or Audio Technica condenser microphone?

My recording software is Protools, and my mastering software is Sound Forge. This allows me to record just about everything I do live with my laptop. Make sure the limiter is set There is never a clip or crackle in any of my videos. You can then upload the images to your computer and edit them br>All frequency are there for your convenience. Various parts of the audio spectrum are recorded with great quality. It isn't hard if you know how to EQ them and how to plug them out. It took me a year to realize that (not spreading the mics open / AB) actually records better, that there are more similar tracks, and that mixing is easier. A band practice can be burned on a CD in about an hour after I rip down, chop, and mix the recordings. last for an indefinite period of time. BUY HERE FOR THE BEST VALUE.

Died in less than one year, and Tascam's support is terrible
3/5

Died in less than one year - lousy service from Tascam. It is well known to Tascam that there is a problem. Despite the fact that I have not used my unit much, when I turned it on after it had been sitting idle for three months, it was unresponsive. Tascam's support number was called and the guy who answered the phone explains things similar to someone at a New York pizza parlor, with about the same degree My attempt to describe the issue to him was met with the reply, "Yeah, they all do that. ". Hence, why don't you fix it? If everyone does that, why don't you fix the problem? I will never do that again.

The product is great, but the service repair is amazing
3/5

Prior to getting started, I want to say that I am not an audio expert I just needed a device for the school film club. My experience with the product has been very positive, and I feel that it records some of the best sounds. When I normally use it with a shotgun microphone (Azden SGM 1X), I connect it to a USB port. There are no flaws to the product if it weren't for the outrageous cost of repairing it from TASCAM. The 3. after about half a year of use. The 5mm headphone jack used for listening to audio does not work correctly. If audio was garbled, it would sound terrible. If you played it off the SD card on a computer, the sound is fine, but monitoring it is essential. As soon as I heard that it had 1 year warranty, I said, "No problem". Although it has a 1 year warranty for repair, the costs for labor and parts are only covered for The 60 dollar deposit for my device was requested since it was not covered by "Full Warranty". For repairs, 60 dollars an hour was charged. There was an additional fee for parts that needed to be replaced, as well. As far as the cost of this repair was concerned, it was quite expensive. It is inexcusable that this kind of service is offered. I needed to upgrade to a Zoom H4N for half the price I was being charged for a defective product.

I've recorded live music with it and am very pleased with it
5/5

After doing some homework, I decided to jump into the deep end with this recorder since I haven't owned one before. My band and I used it for the first time this past weekend to record a live show, and I couldn't be more pleased One kHz). Each set was recorded on three different SD cards because I didn't know exactly how large the files would be. It took about one minute to download each file. The storage space is 3 GB. It recorded two backups in dual mode, so there are two files. There are 6 GB's x 3 for a total of nearly 8 GB. Apparently, I was able to use my one 32 GB card just fine. Using the built in microphones in A- only solves the problem. As we were in a small room we turned down the input level to 26 and placed the microphone about 8 ft above the speakers while the PA speakers were about 10 feet away. It was loud, but the music didn't get drowned out by the crowd, and there was no clipping. There was good accuracy in recording the levels of each instrument. There was no distortion or distorted sound on drums, bass, guitar, or vocals. Considering how easy it is to use and learn, and the ease of recording live music, I'm very glad I purchased this system and would recommend it to others planning to use it for that purpose.

It is an excellent recorder at a relatively low price
5/5

I have had a Tascam DR-100, and it has been great Recorder 05 for many years and it has been the workhorse of my low-priced home studios Projects that require professional videography at a reasonable cost. Recording recitals and concerts, recording microphone audio for film production, and recording voice-overs for my many videos was part of my list of tasks. This is what I have left of the DR The software still works well, but it has one serious flaw As described in the The only thing you get with the 05 is a microphone Input is line-level, and recording is not possible. When I used an attenuator to knock down line-level signals to mic levels, I got into some trouble a couple of times To determine the DR-level It took about 05 minutes to record the results. Sometimes they were fine, but a few times they weren't. You are now entering the Tascam DR-X My DR-100 came at a good price and the quality of the DR-100 is great The total number of records is 40 at both line-level and mic-level The attenuator will not need to be external as the level is at the appropriate level. This means I don't have to attenuate a signal in order to amplify it for recording (with an attenuator). Due to this, it is capable of capturing better line-level recordings than the DR-100 In my opinion, so far, everything about the DR- is great Two XLR connectors make it big enough to fit comfortably in a pocket and still fit in a pocket. This configuration will take both balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (1/4-" -size) connectors There are both mic- and line-level outputs The input device is convenient and easy to use A level control is located on the side, and the display is large enough that it is easy to read. There is excellent quality to the recordings If you're interested in 24-hour service, you can get it There are recorders with 192 kHz sampling and bit depth other than the DR-81, but I cannot hear the difference between them and this one In this case, it is 40 (which is 24 Sample rate of 96 kHz, bit depth 32). It is part of the Tascam DR-100 series Recording up to four channels may be possible on the 40, but I haven't used more than two so far. The DR-TM has been useful to me There have been only a couple of uses of the 40's built-in microphone, but the sound comes out pretty good. 3 AA batteries power this unit for many hours. I like that the DR-2020 can take pictures in the dark with no problem. In the 40, there is a full-body scanner As opposed to the Tascam DR-100, the SD card size is larger It would be great if I had a microSD card for the 05. (I hate thinking that I might not have one My SD cards will work with the adapter when I need them. Edited on April 4, 2020 )

Over the last few years I have used A recording studio with a 40, connected to the house mixer for clean audio, can record a couple dozen concerts. I've also been very pleased with the audio quality. Garnet Rogers recorded a song called "Small Victory" for Annandale Arts of which you will find it by searching "garnet rogers annandale arts". Tascam DR-100 was the camera I used to record this video The house mixer is connected to a mixer 40 to capture audio directly. I like it a lot! DR-PXE19 has been quite successful I find the 40 to be the perfect recorder for my purposes A small, portable device that is easy to use and powerful. Very clean and well-maintained. The Tascam DR-160 is the one I recommend.
