The only mixer you should buy is this one. There is no doubt that this is the best rack mount mixer for the money. This is the only rig we use on tour, and it is incredibly stable. There is no problem, and the mixer is so versatile that we have not even begun to explore its limitation yet. I would not recommend using rack mixers from Behringer, Tascam, or Soundcraft. Getting a presonus 16R is like getting a magic wand that performs circles around all others.

I'm using the StudioLive 32R to create a hybrid live/studio recording setup and am very pleased with its performance and sound I have two different submixes managed by the box One goes to the FoH for a live mix, one to a Pro Tools rig for multi-tracking An audio feed for a live stream is recorded and mixed. Rock solid results have been achieved using the system. There was only support for 48kHz when it first launched, but now they also support 44kHz. Since I had all my previous interfaces in the studio, I could replace all of them with this single unit, so I could record new projects, mix down older studio recordings from ProTools, and do live sound. As the system, firmware and software evolve and get more functional, the system becomes more powerful. This unit will not let you down. My setup was overhauled because I replaced an entire rack of equipment with this device.
