I bought this Tascam recorder to listen to some 4-track tapes I made over a decade ago, and it's perfect for the job. The MF- The P01 is a simple one-input recorder that I think would be great for capturing a quick run through of a song and then building on it one track at a time. The controls are laid out in a simple and easy-to-understand manner, so you can jump right in and start recording. The tape mechanism, which has a flip-open lid and the familiar tape controls, is on the right side: br>br> There's an analog counter with a reset button to keep track of tape positions, as well as play, record, and other functions. br>br>The levels and adjustment controls are on the left. Each track's individual volume wheels have notches indicating the 0 level and are painted diagonally with two different colors, allowing the user to quickly see the volume level by looking at the dials. On the playback/record preamp section, they discovered four defective chips. It was either a factory defect or it was plugged in with the incorrect power supply at one point, and there are currently no parts available to fix the problem.
I would not recommend this product! I purchased this item and it was never functional! I will not purchase from this seller in the future.
I know there are a lot of digital recording devices out there, but I can understand this traditional record; the levels appear to be a little low, but you can always boost them when you play it back on another player.
It is not always possible to use the fast forward button.
br>It's incredibly simple to use. It's simple and enjoyable to record and mix tracks. This is an excellent product.
