Has anyone tried this and the original Chauvet haze fluid together? Is it worthwhile to pay the extra money for this one, and if so, why?

I'm not sure what the difference is, but I always go for the 4-pack. The new version's pack costs the same as the old version's pack, bringing the total cost to the same level.
