Questions & Answers

Does anyone know where it came from?

Yamaha probably has someone in charge of this.

What if I need to record on more than one track?

It does not have recording capabilities built-in and its main purpose is to act as a mixer. This uses USB and does not operate as a recording device. device allows you to record multiple sources at once and make them into one mono or stereo output that can be used with recording software, video It is possible to record the main output via computer, but even then, there will just be one audio stream, not separate streams for each

Does this mixer have the ability to work in "mix minus" mode? In that case, how do you go about it? Trying to rely on the "fx send" port, but it seems to not work?

The answer to this is something I have been trying to figure out for myself. Thus far, it seems the answer is No because the aux is a post-fader. To isolate the mic on the FX send and remove it from the main mix, I am trying to isolate this mic on the FX send. There doesn't seem to be any way to make this I was also able to get the FX send to work, but if both the USB and the FX send were connected to the same source, they both carried the microphone

Do I have the option of adding echo and reverb to the microphone?

If the channel is assigned to a Mic, any of the onboard effects will be available. I will tackle each effect one by one.

After two years of use, the device broke
3/5

Since I ordered it in 2017, I would have expected that it would last at least a couple of Unfortunately, it doesn't even recognize it any more I can't download any new drivers because I'm always getting an error message such as "Page not found, Some problem occurred. ". There has been an unexpected sending of information, or the system has failed. It is recommended that you return to the previous page to make the necessary changes, or that you wait a while and try I even sent the link to two or three friends and they experienced the same problem. It has been two years since I bought this "Quality" product, so I would not recommend purchasing Although it is a nice mixer, the support for it is lacking, since there are no drivers for it. I've edited it It's been a couple days since I posted this. I sent an email to their support, but haven't heard back. I wouldn't buy this product due to the wonderful customer service. There is no doubt that the mixer is great, but the customer support is terrible. As this review progresses, I will continue to update it.

In addition to the USB output being very low, the MG10XU Mixer gets very hot
3/5

In general, other reviews here have generally reported that the mixer functions well. The following two problems dominate the situation It is very difficult to get large USB output (a). Currently I'm using Audacity and Reaper for my DAW (Digital Audio Workstations). 1) Types of cables and connectors Comparing the TRS with the RCA, etc. All the devices mentioned above work. However, the LED output level indicators have a hard time showing signal levels from any of them. The situation was something I was ready to deal with. (b) After about an hour of continuous use, the back plane (the side with the XLR connectors all the way to the USB connector) feels hot to touch Considering I only have 2 devices plugged into my mixer usually (my piano, and my laptop) and then the USB cable that goes to my main workstation for some recording and mixing sessions, this is even more of an emergency, in my opinion. In order to do this, I am planning on returning it under the advice of a Yamaha tech I spoke to today (Dale). My observation is that owners of the MG10XU come away with a quite different set of experiences. Some have been elated and others disappointed. As a result, I suspect this might be due to some inconsistent production quality issues with the device in addition to some underlying problems. The problem lies in the design. I am not really sure how to rate this device other than to say that there is something that needs to be done. These results are after using the product for about a week. Please feel free to share your experience if anyone has had a similar experience. Thanks a lot,.

The value of this product is great! There's only one thing I don't like about it
4/5

In addition to this, I bought the Yamaha MG16CXU Mixer to replace the original. There are a lot of features on this mixer. The balanced XLR-style cables are the most important In terms of outputs, each mic has a gain control, Mic 1,2 have compression, and whether you have high impedance equipment or just want to ease up on the singer, each mic has a 26 dB boost. The system has two stereo line-in connections with 1/4" and RCA connectors and a third line-in connection that has a direct USB connector to connect to a PC using Yamaha Cubase driver at 24 bit/192 kHz. When you connect the cable to the PC via the USB, there is little latency, and ground loop interference is absent. On top of that, these mics have phantom power and there are 24 SPX effects that can be injected into each channel, along with Cubase AI code that can be used to mix these yourself on PCs as well. The best value for your money! I have only one complaint it gets very hot when I play it. At times it gets too hot when I walk away from my PC, so I find it uncomfortable to leave it running.

You should be aware of intermittent audio crackling when using this mixer! The mixer has pretty much everything I like about it
4/5

I like the fact that it is high-quality and very sturdy as well as serving its Twitch users can listen to music streams using this program. I have intermittent crackling and audio morphing when I am using the usb line to connect to the computer from the headphones. I am not able to find this on recordings, and I never see it when I am monitoring myself alone The problem is not with According to my research, this is a common problem people are experiencing with this mixer and it doesn't seem to be fixed. Because of the price, this mixer loses one star, because it can be hard to just deal with a problem like It will take a long time to complete It will cause me annoyance in the short-term, since I use the recording setup for gaming as well as playing back recordings. Although it makes it somewhat unusable, it doesn't completely stop it. There are brief audio issues that last for a few seconds to about a minute. However, if you pay close attention, you can still understand what is being said. Despite that, the rest of my week has been very enjoyable.

There is no box, but the USB interface on Windows 10 is terrible
3/5

Well, I really want to love this USB mixer, but after spending 7 hours on it and still not being able to get it to work with my PC, I am unable to recommend it. The output is technically correct, but the input is so low, it's impossible to use the audio without significantly changing the way the PC uses audio input (i. e. 3rd-party apps). I need a USB interface, so I guess I'll buy a Mackie or Focusrite. If you want a good live mixer or you have a Mac or Linux system (I don't know, I don't have one), it must Then, I would say stay as far away from this as possible.

It is easy to use and customizable
5/5

My favorite part of this unit is its simplicity. Now that I've used it for a few months, I feel a need to review it. A pair of Yamaha powered speakers with 12" dimensions. This board is primarily used for vocals as a mini soundboard. I have placed it on a mic stand (using a mic stand mount from amazon) in the middle of my practicing room so I can make adjustments while still practicing. A tune. In addition, I have used it a bit for recordings. I hooked it up to my Mac book using logic pro through USB. I was able to get it working immediately without any problems.
