Questions & Answers

Are there any restrictions on using Tascam 16 with a power speaker?

I've tried it with headphones and it works fine. The controls for studio monitors are separate from those for the monitors themselves.

It was a great machine, but it does require limited input
4/5

Overall, both Models 12 and 16 took the same approach for me. Both times I have purchased them and have been extremely happy with the quality, however I was shocked by the "virtual" tracks 15/16 as well as the assigned BT 13/14 channel (with 1/8 in option) and the lack of EQ and aux characteristics. Thus, the Model 16 came with 12 input channels in the end. My only complaint is that the board seems to lack a sense of direction In the description of the product on the website, it could be clarified a little more.

There is no point in wasting time on this
3/5

I do not like the sound of this device. In the past, I have not had any issues with the sound quality on other recorders. My experience with owner's manuals has been frustrating to say the least. Jumping from one page to another is not the most effective way to explain something. However, the conversation never comes to a conclusion. It is not a device I would recommend.

I like it
5/5

It is easy, simple, and I give it 5 out of 5 stars, with some critiques I have picked. Let me begin by saying that this mixer sounds incredible. The first time I hooked this up, I felt like I was hearing things. When I first hooked it up, I thought I was playing tricks on my ears. sounds like it would be a very fat and beefy meal. My four-piece band used this product, and at first, I just used it as a standard mixer because I was nervous to try out recording at a gig (I was afraid that it might crash and stop the show from running as planned). It turns out I was worried without a good reason, since I set the unit to record mode on the same performance and everything worked just fine! During the recording, I recorded 12 inputs simultaneously. The tracks were played out through the stage monitors and a quick mix was done at the end of the show. One of the best board tapes we've ever used! It wasn't long after that that I went back and fixed a few "flubs" by punching-in A fix had to be made on the tracks. The only fault is a nit It will take you a couple of turns on the control knob to scroll back to your punch-list It's worth noting that I do not particularly enjoy the mixer's color scheme. The fact that you cannot assign different channels to different tracks is sometimes a complaint, but I see it as a plus, because it makes it very SIMPLE to play this. In track one, you listen to track one, in track two, you listen to track two. Besides, this is really more of a live mixer with built-in multitrack recording. Rather than being a recorder able to be used as a pre-recorder, it can record up to 24 tracks simultaneously.

I was very pleased with the quality and the price of this mixer
5/5

Definitely one of the best units. A great deal of sound quality has been achieved here. This feature allows you to be flexible with your requirements. The level is still being learned, but it is quite There is value. I love it. The normal price for this item is It costs $799 on the list. For $525, I pi led this up here. don't know how or why, but when I registered it, it came brand new and unopened AND came with a 32GB card and a Tascam headset. Depending on how long the freebie lasts, it may change. Take advantage of the offer from Tascam. Amazon is not a seller. It's impossible not to be happy. Because it is the one I had been wanting from the beginning, when the price dropped, I was delighted Now is the time to buy! I highly recommend this book.

I've owned several multitrackers but this one is the best
5/5

The machine was easy to handle and I learned the basics just by doing. I didn't even need instructions until I got into the mixdown mode. It is easy to use and I appreciate that it has analog sound. The sound quality is good and it also has a quick start up.
