Product Description

Handheld dynamic microphone with XLR analog and USB-C digital outputs. Long-lasting metal construction with a smooth, extended frequency response that's ideal for podcasting, home studio recording, field recording, voiceover, and other content creation applications.
The USB output connects to your computer (Windows and Mac) for digital recording, while the XLR output connects to the traditional microphone input on your sound system for use in live performances. For both USB and analog operation, an on/off switch is available.
With a built-in headphone jack and a dial on the bottom to easily adjust headphone volume, you can monitor directly from the microphone.
Unwanted sounds from the sides and back are reduced by the cardioid polar pattern, which improves the isolation of the desired sound source. The frequency response of the low-mass diaphragm is excellent. A/D converter with 24-bit resolution and a sampling rate of up to 192 kHz.
Three cables are included: USB-C to USB-C, USB-C to USB-A, and XLRF to XLRM. Sturdy tripod desk stand with folding legs is easy to set up and transport. Threaded stand clamp securely attaches to the supplied tripod or to a conventional microphone stand.

Questions & Answers

When I plug my headphones into the mic or play it back, it keeps making this irritating audio humming noise in the background?

My problem was the same as yours. I was able to resolve this in Windows 10 by opening the Sound Control Panel, selecting the microphone from the Playback devices list, and muting the microphone from the levels tab. It appears that this microphone is being treated as two distinct microphones. The first is the microphone itself, which is joined by a second "mic" via the headphone jack.

With my Macbook Pro, it will not turn on. I've switched out the cables and ports on my computer. There are no issues with the previous model. Do you have any suggestions?

So, I'm sorry, I was wrong. My Mac is fine for me. The blue light indicates that it is connected to the computer via USB. It's difficult to tell what's on and what's off. When using it, however, the slider should be up and "off" should not appear.

Is it possible to return or refund this microphone?

It will, of course, be covered by Amazon's return policy. However, Amazon's return policies apply to audio technical items as well.

Is it necessary to use a pop filter?

Pop filters are used to protect microphones from close-up blasts of air, such as when broadcasting or recording vocals. It won't help you if you're further back. It's useless if you're not using it for voice. Pop filters can change the tone, so only use them when absolutely necessary.

DYNAMIC IS NOT THE KEY WORD HERE
3/5

I must admit that during the brief time I had this microphone connected, I thought it sounded like a decent condenser microphone. The issue is that it is, in fact, a condenser microphone, not a dynamic microphone. The title refers to it as a dynamic microphone, despite the fact that it says that further down the page. br>br>As much as I'd like to give a good microphone a bad review, this is still a product I didn't want that I was misled into purchasing by the product's own page.

microphone stand is no longer functional The microphone isn't working, and the stand is broken, so this seller won't back up their product
3/5

They stated that it is not their problem. Horrible customer service, and I'm not convinced about this microphone. Selling something that doesn't work and then refusing to accept a return appears to be highly unethical.

The microphone is fantastic
4/5

The accessories that come with the game are abysmal. The microphone is excellent in and of itself. At work, I use it for video conferencing, and everyone notices the difference in quality. br>br>As other reviews have pointed out, the mic holder clip and stand that come with the product are two separate pieces of cheap plastic. I've had no luck screwing them together in my case. Something about the molded plastic threads isn't quite right, and if I try to force them to line up, they become stuck. You'll need a different stand and mic holder if you purchase this microphone. br>br>The USB-powered device that comes with it is a great addition. C cables are the only ones I've ever used that made me feel like I was about to break a port on my computer by plugging them in. They're extremely tight and snap shut once fully inserted. It's also more difficult than it needs to be to get them out again.

Zoom is fantastic
5/5

I purchased this microphone after reading a lot of good things about it and intend to use it for singing groups and Zoom meetings. The product's ability to record podcasts drew me in. This microphone has met my expectations, and I appreciate user-friendly technology. This microphone connects to my computer via USB and features a standard jack that fits my Apple earbuds as well as the earphones I use to listen to music. The volume on the earphones is the only control on the microphone. My computer switched from taking input via its internal microphone to taking input from the new external microphone when I plugged it into the USB port, and that was the end of my installation process, yay! I placed it on the mini-disc that came with the package. It's a tripod that's easy to use and steady. So far, I've used it for three different singing groups, and people have told me that my sound quality is the best of the bunch. Because it's a condenser mike, it doesn't pick up a lot of background noise, and I don't have to worry about orienting my face to the mike: it seems to pick me up wherever I am in front of my laptop screen. This is a fantastic microphone for the money.

Recordings are excellent, but the accessories are flimsy at best
3/5

The mic itself appears to have decent audio performance (though I admit to being a complete novice on this front), but the plastic part of the tabletop tripod with the screw threaded socket is made of weak plastic and broke the first time I used it (started unscrewing the stand from the mic sleeve, finding it difficult, and it simply snapped after a few twists). br>br>It could be a one-time deal. off, weird occurrence, but I'm now without a means of supporting the microphone. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> I've since returned the microphone (the seller refunded my purchase with no questions asked). One of the features I like best about this mic—and haven't seen (yet) in other products—is that it comes with both a mini xlr and a USB-C port. The audio interface is written in C. This will become more common over time, but for the time being, it's a feature I've only been able to find in this model.

Professional-quality microphone at an affordable price
5/5

I waited for the Audio Technica ATR2100X microphone to become available again on Amazon for several weeks. Although I preferred the older Audio Technica AT2005 model (especially with its flat top black color grill versus silver on the ATR2100x model), I disliked the blinding blue LED light that could not be turned off, as well as the older micro-USB port. As a result, I was looking for the most recent ATR2100x model with the new USB-C port. The C port, as well as the LED light, has been greatly improved and is no longer blindingly bright. The main selling point of this microphone is its dual XLR and USB ports, which is unusual for a microphone; only a few other mics have this feature. The ATR2100x mic is a high-quality microphone with excellent sound quality. I prefer this Audio Technica mic to my Shure SM58 mic, which is also similar in price, and I like that the ATR2100 mic comes with an XLR cable and a nice carry bag. However, the included mic stand is far too short to be of any use, necessitating the purchase of a better/taller mic stand. Overall, I like this mic; it works best when combined with a $5 wind foam screen to eliminate unwanted plosive effects when speaking words beginning with the letters "P" and "S. " This microphone gets five stars!.

On a shoestring budget, quality
5/5

The microphone is excellent in and of itself. It has good sound quality and comes with three different cables for connecting to it. The mic stand, on the other hand, is a disaster, but if you're looking for a good microphone on a tight budget, this is it. The microphone does not come with the mic stand or shock mount shown in the pictures. I bought them separately because the mic stand that came with it is terrible (as previously mentioned).
