The sound is stunning and playing it is a pleasure
5/5

Since this is my first time playing a melodica, I'm not a seasoned player by any means. Piano is my primary instrument, but I enjoy playing any instrument I can get my hands on. My melodica experience was unique, however, as I had not previously played this instrument. There was little to no ramp up time. It played great sounding music immediately. This device allows you to blow into it and then press the keys to For people who are used to key sizes that are larger, this will take some practice. The keys on this instrument are not as narrow as the keys on my midi controllers, though, so adjusting to it wasn't problematic. A beautiful sound emerges from the speakers. It has a nice warm sound in the low registers and a crisp, clear sound in the high registers without having a shrill quality to it. In my expectations, I was expecting something harsher, like the sound of a harmonica. But while the chords and harmonics have a metallic sound, it is also capable of producing some interesting and warm harmonics and melodies with a large selection In terms of criticisms, I have none, as they are in keeping with the nature of a melodica in general, so would not detract points. A couple of things are wrong. The first issue is that the keys clack when they are hit, and the action is not Compared to synth action keys, this is caused by the inherent mechanism for airflow inside, and is not really noticeable when playing, though it might need to be considered if you're doing any recording, as I imagine certain microphones may be more likely to pick The second complaint I have, strictly based on my experience as a pianist, is that the sound of certain melodic lines over chords is so artificial Since there is no way to articulate the individual notes through dynamics, it's a breath-based, all or nothing phenomenon. Certainly not a detraction from the rating since it will be an inherent quality of melodicas. Unlike some other Chinese laptops, the build is very nice. It feels luxurious and has a very sleek design. Despite the strap on the back being a nice touch, I feel like it might not be the best ergonomic solution for my short little arms, but I think it would be useful to attach the pedal to my ukulele to try a Frankenstein combo of smooth strumming and melodicas. I am unaware of any comparisons to other melodicas because I don't have a context to apply them to. But it appears to have a reasonable dynamic range, getting quiet to loud, and responding to your breath. As strange as it may seem, marketing this melodica as an "adult" melody versus a professional one is a strange marketing strategy. However, don't let that fool you into thinking that this isn't a professional instrumental piece. It's an amazing instrument and I would recommend it to musicians who like playing a variety of instruments.

Served as a prop in a senior photo shoot for a piano student
5/5

A senior photo day was coming up for my child, so I purchased this. I wanted to include some musical elements in the senior photos, but it is impossible to bring portable musical instruments to studios. The instrument is an expensive version of the Pianica that I played when I was a child. The new version has more keys and sounds at least a bit better than my old school kids version. It was mentioned during the senior photo day that it was the first prop like that they had seen. It was a great session and we had a lot of fun. Melodica is a great instrument, and I appreciate Jon Batiste playing it There is a great need for this instrument to gain popularity. Amazon, thank you so much.

A version of the Yamaha P-90 that is for adults The 37th degree
4/5

Those are the words that are being used to market it As a result, there is no meaning loss nor gain in translation and this has been a source of amusement to Japanese keyboard harmonica fans. In other words, P My preference is for the 37E*br because it has a quality look and solid construction as opposed to the P-type The 37th degree. A few innovations have resulted in the product's more muted sound. You can read about them by looking at the company's marketing (using the Google translation tool). Despite having a P-style tuner, I found it to be harder to tune The 37th degree. Also, I found that it was less responsive and it demanded more air pressure (breathing). Identify each part of the P The 37E (which is brown as well as black) and the P- seem to be the highest quality There are no differences between 37D and 37E. In the end, I ended up creating a hybrid, incorporating the P-format's innards into a P-style chassis A section of 37D was transplanted into a P-shaped enclosure It has a sound that is essentially the same as There isn't much difference between the 37E and the hybrid. The decision between both new P-Class models should be made based on the following information It is the tried and true 37E that works best If you are considering upgrading in 37D, or you are currently using The P-, here is my recommendation stay current In other words, P While the 37E looks "more like a real musical instrument," I think there are some serious wrinkles that need to be worked Although it isn't Prime-friendly yet, having not yet been released into the public, it seems like an appropriate time for it to be unavailable. I am sure many melodica fans are aware of the Korean imitation of the Yamaha P-38, the Angel Melodyhorn 37. The 37th degree. In other words, P A lot like the Melodyhorn 37, the 37E has a similar sound.
