Questions & Answers

What about the keys? Do they have weights?

There is no weight to the keys.

What would make the price for three different prices be the same? a) the keyboard alone b) the keyboard with power supply included c) the keyboard with stand and power supply shouldn't be the same?

There is no clarity here at all. The power supply should cost $7. Not sure why it can't

Learning a new language is easy
5/5

As I learn how to play the piano, I am using my keyboard. It is my pleasure to learn to play for my own enjoyment at the age of 83. From my children, I received this object for Christmas. I've been able to do a pretty good job with "Danny Boy" so far.

I like this keyboard a lot
3/5

A piano with a wide octave range without being too big was what I was looking for. Quality was also desired without pouring too much money into it. It was hard to choose between the several models, but I chose this one and am delighted with it. There is a great sound and it's a very lightweight speaker. That's a great model! I highly recommend it!.

A total of 4 bad keys were found on two units
3/5

After returning 2 items, I took a few days opening, testing, calling the customer service line, repacking, and returning them In the first unit there were 4 bad keys and the stand was broken. In the second unit there were four further bad keys. It is comprised of the letters A#, G#, and B#. The Casio WK 6600 arrived today. I ordered it after my old ones sounded dull and the ringing was not clear like the rest. I thought all of the keys worked, and the unit had a lot of great features, so the extra $100 is worth it. A second defect was related to the Yamaha bundle stand, which was defective in two ways. One of the hex mounding screws has a bad weld that wouldn't tighten, and 2) the screws were composed of a soft alloy, causing the threads and the head to strip out. Those kinds of cheap materials and poor workmanship had no business being paired with one of Yamaha's highly regarded instruments. Usually I would never say that Yamaha has a quality problem, but here I am. artificial intelligence and robots?.

It is rubbish to stand included
5/5

There is a different stand inside the box compared to what you see in the photo. I got a stand with round ends on the top and bottom which makes it lacking in stability. It is easy for a piano to collapse with the slightest movement. Two support rods are visible on each end of the picture. The issue is that if a piano stand has these issues, I don't know what I will expect from the piano whenever she arrives. Please give the people exactly what they see on the website. I am not happy at all.

It also includes speakers for home use, and it is This note applies The 50) and the. . Yamaha sustain pedal is recommended Please note that The voices are of good quality, there is some "create-" capability on the keyboard "Musik" functions for a very reasonable price. Featuring Grand Piano voice as well as different instruments 2) & 3. In addition, it is well worth it since it has so many additional functions. Please note The urge to hear all those voices can be distracting for beginners learning piano. A little accompaniment, rhythms and (beginning) synth- These functions are similar, but make for a more interesting and creative experience You can enable the keyboard.

Workstation that is decent
4/5

The purpose of this is to keep "a" Yamaha keyboard in the mix when I rearranged my keyboard setup. This was purchased to replace an aging Casio WK-108 The pros include Please note Compared to my old Casio keyboard, which always seemed to make way too much noise when pressing the plastic keys, this one feels very nice. The MIDI over USB protocol You do not need an additional adapter/interface to connect to a computer or mobile device. Please note There is a good organization of button and function placements. Please note A corresponding icon for each of the General MIDI percussion instruments is displayed above each key A channel 10 is assigned to the percussion data coming from the percussion. The cons are Please note There is no USB source of power for the keyboard at all, so it couldn't be powered by the USB as some other MIDI over USB keyboards can. Although the keyboard can be operated by batteries, who is going to flip it over frequently for that purpose? This can be due to features that require additional current (internal amplifiers and speakers, etc. ). However, Yamaha missed a huge opportunity by not allowing it to be used in a "controller only" context when connected via Please note A modulation wheel or pitch bend is not present. Although I have owned other Yamaha keyboards with both features in the past, this was not a deal breaker for me. It seems odd that only high-income people can afford to do this It doesn't seem to be common on end controllers and workstations Please note In spite of the fact that it can be connected to a computer or mobile device via USB, it is not necessary to purchase additional hardware or software for this.
