Questions & Answers

What are the requirements for a power cable? Does it come with one, or does it need to be purchased ?

I've used both the KORG 9V power supply, which is about $30 and the generic (search for KORG 9v power supply, about $10), and neither have acted up for me.

This appears to be a very small size. Could you please tell me if the keyboard is too small for use?

There are no keys on the keyboard. It is not a real keyboard, but it can be used for basic operations. It's better to try something else if you've got sausage fingers. If you have a midi controller you could use it.

The dimensions of the object?

The size of the boards is 5 It measures 5 inches by 1 inch.

Compact synth instruments that offer great sound for a great price on Amazon
5/5

Once again, the system seems to prevent me from writing separate reviews for the two models, so in this review I'll cover both. I first picked up a decent synthesizer with the Volca KEYS. Due to all of the good reviews I found on it, I bought it, even though later I discovered that the FM model was much more attractive to me. The following are the things I enjoy about Volca series models This is a compact device, but is extremely well built. I really like the look and feel of it. There is no problem with the knobs (although I would prefer to have their indicators highlighted) and the keyboard is responsive. Yes, the keys are small, but that is to be expected. The battery lasts the whole day. It is great to have the capability to operate and to have speakers included. I would like to see a feature to help chain saved sequences. The sequencer is pretty good, though it would be good if it had a chaining mode. To me, the Volcas are the most compact synthesizers that are still capable of being taken seriously as Therefore, their main drawing power is the compact size of the instrument. If you do not need it, then you might want to get a larger instrument that also offers more features and is priced accordingly. If you are interested in learning about analog synthesis, the KEYS model is a great package to use. It may be more appropriate to explore the FM model if you are not too concerned with the synthesis method. There are three reasons why I have preferred the FM over the KEYS There is an arpeggiator feature in the FM that makes it very easy to play. Because of this, playing the sequencer is such a fun experience, especially since it has such a limited feature. In addition to providing a greater variety of sounds, the FM also provides the most flexibility. It is easier to work with due to its similarity, which enables you to start with something similar and then tweak it to sound just right. KEYS would require each of the knob settings you've ever liked to be remembered so that you could choose a combination that you like You will need to learn more about the FM, and I don't believe you will be able to reproduce all the sounds that it creates. The KEYS model I have purchased is not one I regret. The device is a great tool for experimenting with analog synthesizers on the go. The following is a tip for you For those of you who plan to purchase a Volca and who would like a case for it, [Sabrent Universal Travel Case for GoPro or Small Electronics and Accessories [Medium] (GP-072) is a great choice The Cannabis Sports & Lifestyle Group (CSBG)) This is item # B01AXN2P1A. The Volca case is a great option to protect your Volca (it also works for the Stylophone Gen X).

I don't own a synth, but I have a Korg Monologue before anything else, I am a newbie at synthesizers Besides using software synths, I also use hardware synths, so while it isn't the perfect combination, I can get decent sound both ways
3/5

I was intrigued by the fact that I have never come across Korg before, so I assumed this device would be easy to select, but it was not. I am not sure if it is just me, but any attempt at getting decent sound from this device failed horribly. It is possible to get great sounds and noises out of space It's the kind of music that will make a moody soundtrack, I think The rest is basically a lot of sound effects for video games or for some audio effects in movies. It is a bit uncomfortable to touch the strip It doesn't matter if they are rubber-covered keys or some cheap hardware, real keys are what I'm used to. But those keys are nice, but the keybed is too small, making it hard for me to easily use them. Furthermore, controls didn't behave as I anticipated and therefore didn't meet my expectations The parameter changing was unpredictable, and the output sound was mostly useless for the applications I had in mind (electro-music, etc. ) Music ranging from pop to techno to electro There are rocks). At the end of the day, it is not a bad device probably it is more geared towards synth experts I am not what I appear to be. On the Monologue, I can make patches easily while I cannot get the Volca Keys to function the way I strongly recommend giving it a try first to see if its inner workings make sense, as well as if the sound matches your expectations.

There are two kinds of volcanoes Volcados and Poetos
5/5

Fun on the go. I wondered if maybe Volca devices could be synchronized with Pocket Operators after purchasing a couple of them The answer is yes! My current equipment set includes 5 Pocket Operators and 4 Volcas, as well as a Behringer Model D, a Korg Monologue, and some other older gear that I'm having fun tying This is one of the easiest instruments to play, and you get the hang of it pretty quickly. In addition to the many Android and iOS music apps I have, I like Volca's interface a lot. To make the Volca's into an app for smartphones or tablets (or download them for each) would be an incredible idea. The Korg SQ-100 is just what I wanted I would like to try that with PO's and Volca's to see how that works. The modular design is similar to what you see on a tabletop.

A machine that will blow you away
5/5

You should have one. At about the size of a VHS tape, the Korg Volca Keys is highly portable. It's easy to use and very affordable. Batteries provide the power (which last for a long time) and there is a built-in light box A speaker on the board. If you want to clock-in It also works with other Volcas (try slaving any other Volca to the Volca Beats, which shows tempo in real-time). It's true that you have three There are a total of four notes in With it, you have access to a wealth of information Keypad for the board that is great for running lead (particularly when the portamento number is turned up for long slides). You can listen to MIDI music It is based on Jack. Sequencer is a great tool Having a 16-inch laptop is a big deal It is a step sequencer, but you can run it at 1/4 the speed to create 64-sequence loops Patterns of beats. A number of fantastic sounds are generated. I love the look of it. simple truth is that you want this machine

Now, I am going to tell you a few things. While live tweaking is feasible, the control face is quite large so that it requires a little dexterity to operate. You will need to set up your setup to take account of the headphone jack, which is a mono 1/8" jack. A little noise can be heard in the signal path. As a consequence, the cutoff pot for the VCFs steps when the resonance is high. Using the 1/2 and 1/4 tempo features on the (great) sequencer limits what it can do. Sawtooth waveforms are the only output of the oscillators. Pitch and cutoff frequency are the only parameters that can be adjusted by the LFO. 3 ways to find out Each note in polyphonic polyphony has a single envelope generator, therefore the velocity of subsequent notes lowers the volume of previously In order to play chords quickly, the keypad is not suitable. You get what you pay for with this beauty, or are you getting more than you pay for? Without a doubt. Yes, I agree! What will you do with all your other synthesizers once you have this one? I don't believe that at all! plastic box that has a price tag of $160. In any case, if you had $500 or $1000 to spend on an analog synth, you wouldn't bother looking at this. If you get the Minibrute, Minilogue, or Sub 37, it would be the Minibrute. I'd like you to buy a Minilogue if you have $500 and tell me what you think about it.
