I did not receive a case with mine. There is a model made specifically for the Weißnborn, but it is sold This is my weissenborn - she is gorgeous! This is stunning to look at The music and sound quality are excellent, and the package shipped from Amazon in perfect condition. Despite not having the case, I think it's worth every cent of the price. At the standard retail price, the separate case is expensive, but the quality is good. The deal I found from another vendor was better after waiting for a promotion.

There is no way that it can be beat for the price.
The first one I received had some issues with the seam where the two halves are glued together. It looked like the seam had a small gap, maybe about the thickness of a coarse hair. Furthermore, there was a bit of what I would call suckering of the wood, but since it was solid mahogany, that may have just been I noticed that one of the liners (the pieces that connect the top and bottom to the sides) looked to be crudely trimmed in order to fit through the sound hole. I wasn't pleased with how things went down. I was very pleased with Amazon's response time. They provided my guitar very promptly (great service). The replacement guitar was significantly improved in terms of workmanship, both inside and out, and acoustically it sounds great. The sound is open, sweet and has a If you check out the Gold Tone web site, you'll find a Deam Markly pickup system that can be used for both sound holes and under saddles. Having been able to contact Dean Markly directly due to their Northern California location, I contacted them directly. As far as they are concerned, this pickup system is no longer available. At the moment I'm using the Shadow sound hole pickup and I like how it sounds. It sounded just OK, and was tight in the sound hole. I also tried an LR Baggs passive, but it didn't sound much better. The Duncan Mag is on the list. Please make your next microphone. In the end, it is a good value for It is a solid wood lap steel that is good sounding and could give an indication of whether a Weissenborn is the right instrument for you. In case you get a bad one, just make sure you can replace it with another A Gold Tone is about $2k higher than a Silver Tone. I will be buying one of those custom hand made Weissenborns eventually since I have enjoyed this so much.
A resonator has a much louder and deeper sound, while this instrument has a fuller and lighter sound.
The fretboard of this guitar is a little wider than that of the ebony, otherwise it plays about the same.
It was so light I could take it with me That's right, ha! As soon as my shoe was pulled over the peg head, my friends thought it looked like a severely injured leg sticking out of my pack!.
I love this guitar because it has a beautiful sound and looks great. You can play it for hours, the tones are so sweet and pure. Basically, there is no flaw in the design of this guitar, not even a single one. The price is excellent, and I'm very happy with it.
If a very good guitar couldn't get any better, it would take thousands of dollars.
For the money, this is a great product. There is a very high level of sound and tone in this piece. I found it to be a lot better than I expected.
Overall, the workmanship is excellent for the price. As the overall value is higher than the amount that I saved on the guitar, I returned.
I recently purchased an used Weissenborn SM+ in gold tone from Gear Cruz (Yanda's Music in Kearney Nebraska) and it arrived with the typical crack in the book. The joint below the bridge should be matched. My issue was handled by Reverb, who issued a refund after several emails and a few days looking into it. I was happy about that, but am dismayed that after investigating the issue on the web, this has become I also wonder if retailers who sell these items with the intent of getting a full price for an instrument that they know will be damaged during shipping have ethical issues to consider. It will be convenient for you if we say "yes, right".
lap steel, a Dobro, and have played 12 string pedal steel for 20+ years. Eight years old now, I bought a GoldTone SM Weissenborn and do not want to give this instrument up. Guitar is the instrument I use to play Hawaiian music. I really like it. I use it to play Carols during Christmas. I love it. This is one of my favorite instruments.
