As long as they remain in tune, the strings remain It was easy to tune these strings, and they stayed in tune

I like the visual, but it seems a bit too bright for my tastes. In addition, I recently ordered a Ghs in G Tuning as I am new to the lap steel. In the event that this does not suit me, I will try a different set of strings. The ghs strings I have used on other instruments, such as the Dobro and Tele, always have been good and have never had complaints.
