Unlike other cymbals, this one goes boom, but in a very bright way, and decays quickly, giving it a very punchy sound that I would describe as tight, clear, crisp, without a long ring of action. This is stunning. If you combine a 12" with a 10 and a 16" you'll find a great fit. I love it!.

It sounds more like a crash rather than a real splash, but that's one of the reasons I really It has a great attack, a nice sound and a dark undertone. While I do not bash my cymbals excessively, I am unsure of how durable it will be.

I needed a splash cymbal with a warmer sound, and this is a great choice. This is not a sharp, harsh attack, but a warm, mellow splash sound best suited to classic rock. Exactly what I needed for my set - Bob C. Thanks for the information.
