The original is the same as mine. It wasn't until I used the new clutch that I realized how worn my original was. It's amazing what a difference makes!.
This is a good replacement clutch and can be used as a spare kit, but does not fit the high-pressure SONOR square clutches It's hard to ignore this hat. Too narrow of an interior to the clutch.
If your hihat hasn't yet been tied, then you need to do so Alternatively, if you ever need to tighten a Hickham due to it loosening after heavy hitting or you don't have a reliable Clutch, it's wise to do it beforehand. I think this is a good choice If you're looking for a good price, there's nothing wrong If it's $10 or less, I will try anything.
I have been using this clutch for years, and it is still my favorite You have to clutch something. The one I have on hand in my cymbal bag always works for me. If I show up for a gig or rehearsal and find the clutch on the high-fi is not working In addition to using it to stand up my hats, I also use it as my daily driver.
My first clutch has finally worn out after 25 years of regular use! I replaced it with one of these clutches! Anybody that plays a lot knows how incredible it is to have a clutch without thread issues for so long. This is a great.
Fits like a glove.
The quality of the product is excellent.
