My 12" and 14" toms are used for practice at home when I use this. My snares were also used with this method, but I ended up using gels If you want to use this, make sure it's While raising the flaps is an effective way to set the dampening, when you want to bring them back down, it takes some time (30 minutes or more) for the flap to come back down smoothly. Upon hitting my 14" tom, I was also surprised to realize that the leather flew in the air when I struck it. I find that cool sticks will not jump up when I'm using them. When I use them flat, they get less resonance when playing in my home, so they are useful to me. However, they are an expensive investment for not really having the versatility they were designed.
This is a very good system. On my toms, I use them, and I plan to get another on my My floor tom is powered by this only product I have found that controls all its overtones.

It does exactly what it says it will. Totally flawless, and looks great at the same time. One of the best drum dampeners I've ever used.
