Any delicates that can be washed would be fine with this. The sections of corrugated cardboard just need to be lightly scudded. Initially, rub a bit of soap on the washboard, then rub the wet garment up and down over it. Stains need to be attended to extra carefully. A washboard, however, would not be ideal for washing wool garments such as sweaters. This could cause the garment to stretch and pill. You should be able to wear bras and underwear.
