It is a good investment to purchase a Darbuka. Even when you play it sideways on a lap (which is the traditional way to play it), you can hear some very rich bass notes. There is no better place to learn or practice drumming whether you are a serious drummer or playing for fun.
The product is good and I would order it My friends and children can play these at my house and have a blast when they come over. I will order a few more.
My other instruments (Cajon, Djembe, etc. ) have been a great source of percussion interest for me, but I wanted to learn finger- and hand-drumming techniques for the Darbuka as well.
This is a very good little drum - just what I wanted, and I purchased a spare drum head to go with.
This is the lightest weight you can find. A good sound is produced. Amazon provides terrific customer service. I'm very pleased to hear about this.
